Heights-Terrace Elementary School held its sixth-grade awards ceremony on June 2. Following opening remarks by principal Eugene F. Gallagher, students were honored for various scholastic achievements. A tie between two students resulted in a class "Top Eleven." Those students were: Sarah Gettig, Sara McDonald, Tracey Radishofski, Jody Veet, Melissa Bast, Brody Stevens, Elizabeth Woitko, Nina Scatton, Ann Marie Woodring, Matthew McBride and Patrick Christopher. Receiving Pennsylvania Math League Awards were Rajeev Mohan, Melissa Bast, Sarah Gettig, Tracy Radishofski, Brody Stevens, Nathan Mariano, Melissa Zieminski and Elizabeth Woitko.

Presidential Fitness Awards went to Jodi Antonelli, Melissa Bast, Patrick Christopher, Scott Geba, Courtney Gennaro, Sarah Gettig, Sharalee Lowder, Nathan Mariano, Matthew McBride, Sara McDonald. Also, Rajeev Mohan, Jennifer Oh, Nicole Pedriani, Erik Price, Tracey Radishofski, Ryan Rogers, Nina Scatton, Brody Stevens, Jody Veet, Kristen Wisemiller, Elizabeth Woitko, Ann Marie Woodring. The sixth grade social studies American History dress-up winners were: first place, Rebecca Shershen; second place, Sara Gettig; third place, Ryan Rogers. The most improved Chapter I students were: reading, Daniel Ernst and David Welles; math, John Natt.

PTA certificates went to Jodi Antonelli, Melissa Bast, Patrick Christopher, Jessica Dennish, Scott Geba, Sarah Gettig, Paul-Marius Giurca, Jonathan Hrabovecky, Sharalee Lowder, Nathan Mariano, Matthew McBride, Sara McDonald, Rajeev Rock Glen Junior High School has selected Stefanie Palushock as May's Student of the Month. Palushock is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Palushock, Cemetery Road, Weston.

She has been an honor student since the seventh grade. Eric Anderson Pasco Umbriac i rrpy-TT "i' i 4 I 1 awards ceremony in Philadelphia that was held in May at the University of Pennsylvania. Anderson attended H.F. Grebey junior high school. Pasco Umbriac, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Pasco Umbriac, and Daniel Heckman, son of Dr. and Mrs. D. Scott Heckman, both received state awards for scoring in the highest SAT percentile in the state. They attended D.A.

Harman Junior Harman School. Also, they were both awarded certificates of distinction in verbal, math and composite scores for scoring higher on the SAT than the average college-bound senior. Heckman, whose combined math and verbal score was 1,030, was also named in the top 8 percent of participants and invited to the May awards ceremony. To be eligible for CTY participation, students must range in the 97th percentile or above in math, verbal or composite scores. The 1992 talent search results are based on a total of 41,198 student participants.

Eric Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Anderson, scored in the top 8 percent of CTY participants. He was invited to an Daniel Heckman Winner, Read" summer clubs begins June 22.

Membership in the summer reading club is open to children entering first through eighth grade. The "Read to Me" club is for children ages three to six.
