Omar Browning, University of Oklahoma cage closed a colorful college basketball career here Thunsday night by counting 27 points, to establish a new all time Big Six record for individual scoring in a single game, but the Sooners fell before the Kansas Jayhawkers, 47 to 42.

The game ended the 1935 season for both teams. It was the Kansas victory over the Sooncr.s in as many nights, and again Ray Ebling, Jayhawk forward and leading conference scorer, kept his team in front most of the way with timely buckets. The old scoring record of 24 points was ma.le here in 1933 by the late Andy Bock of Oklahoma and Ebling tied it here last year. The box score: IN niVOKCK fol RT, Ruby Fagan Fagan, dwrw for plaintiff. STAGE LINERS MEETING JONES FIVE IN KAYSEE KANSAS CITY. An intersectional battle between teams from California and Kansas and a grudge affair to be fought out by two local independent clubs are on the semifinal program Friday night in the Missouri Valley A. A. U. invitation basketball tournament.

Chuck Universals from Hollywood meet the Hutchinson, Renos, and the second game brings together for the first time the Southern Kansas Stage liners and Jones store, both of Kansas which have refused to battle each other on the court despite the desire of the promoters to match them in a Ill feeling and bickering between the two teams began with the Stage charge that Jones had raided the 1934 squad, taking principally Paul Burks, star euard and Bill Johnson, center, formerly of the University of Kansas. The long denied clash to settle the unofficial city championship was brought about by the Liners national champion Tulsa Oilera conquest of the downward-bound 37-26, and triumph over Rock hurst college of Kansa.s City, 29-20, in the quarter finals Thursday night.
