They are constructed perform certain kinds of work, which they do perfectly. The greater part of the tonsils, is constructed by lymphatic tissue. Their work consists of filtering certain secretions which find their way these glands. A quantity of these filtered secretions is then neutralized before being carried on to other parts of the body. The tonsils also eliminate a certain amount of toxic matter.

But when the skin, bowels, and especially the kidneys are not doing their proper share of the work, there gathers in the tonsils an excessive quantity of toxic matter. In converting this material the tonsils are overbalanced and hypermia and swelling occur, with the accompanying, soreness. Suppuration follows and a yellowish exudiate is noticeable upon the surface of the tonsils, The tonsils are A very necessary part of your organism. The truth is your tonsils are your friends. They befriend you in many instances, warning off diseases, doing some other organ's share of work part of the time, and when they finally become "sick" from overwork inducted by trying to keep you well- the first thought of some people is to cut them out, get rid of them.
