mil Saturday Morning, June 24, 1944 The Gazette and Daily, York, CHURCH CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS ADVENT LUTHERAN The Special Ordnance Plant Glee club of the York Safe and Lock company will present a sacred program Sunday evening, 8 o'clock, at the Advent Lutheran church in East York. Miss Pauline Klingle, soprano soloist, will sing, "The Lord Is My Rock" and "The Lord's Prayer." Two baritone solos, "Lead Kindly Light" row morning at Trinity Lutheran church. Sunday school officers will be installed during this service. Ushers who will serve are: Dr. Walter Brandt, Emory Mc-Guire, William Koller and Curtis Lauer.

ZION LUTHERAN Holy communion will be observed tomorrow morning in the Zion Lutheran church, Rev. W. Raymond Sammel, pastor. The choir, under the direction of Adam H. Hamme, will sing "Welcome, Welcome, Dear Redeemer" (Franck) with J.

Robert Horn, soloist. Dr. Robert Fortenbaugh, of Gettysburg college, will be in charge of the service. Altar flowers will be placed in memory of Mrs. A.

The service will be in charge of Laura Webb, president of the society. The Sunday school will convene at 9:30, with the evening worship at 7 o'clock when the pastor, Rev. Adam C.

Ruth will speak on "Securing a Home." The mid-week service will be Wednesday evening at 7:45. M. E. ZION Children's Day will be observed tomorrow evening at 7:30 o'clock in the A. M.

BETHANY REFORMED Services for tomorrow at Bethany Reformed church, will be in observance of General Synod, now meeting in York. The guest minister for the morning worship service at 10:45 o'clock will be Rev. Robert C. Stanger, pastor of Bethany Evangelical and Reformed church, Detroit, Mich. Rev.

Stanger is president of the Michigan-Indiana Synod and a member of the Board of Christian education. He will preach on the theme, "The Church's Task in the World of Our The chancel choir will sing "Come Worship Him" (Stickles) and Miss Mary Fuhrman will sing "I Heard a Forest Praying" by DeRose. Rev. John H. Sando is pastor of the church.

During the church school session at 9:30 a. recognition awards will be presented to the children of the vacation church school.
