James Earl Higgins were married by the Rev. William Nolte July 8 at the Italian Gardens in San Jose. The bride arrived by horse-drawn carriage, and the couple left the scene in the same carriage.

She was escorted by her father. Two hundred guests celebrated with the couple. Both Marcie and James are graduates of the San Lorenzo Valley High School Class of 1988, as were their best man and maid of honor, Will Mitchem and Elizabeth Sheridan. Marcie graduated from Barbizon School of Modeling in 1984; she was a founding teen of the Valley Youth Center in Boulder Creek. The bride's parents are Craig and Sunshine Johnson of Boulder Creek.

The groom is the son of Earl Higgins of Gatesville, Texas, and Al and Gail Burk of Hayfork. The day after the wedding, the couple left to drive across country to their first home in Germantown, Md. James is stationed in Arlington, Va. Karen and Gregory Rogers Rogers-Perricone Their mothers lighted the candles July 14 for the wedding of Karen A. Perricone and Gregory P.

Rogers. They were married at St. Joseph's Church, Capi-tola, by the Rev. Gary Byrne. Kristin Genis and Gizelle O'Ferrall sang.

Karen is with Octel Communications Corp. in Mil-pitas; Gregory is with Elyxir Distributing in Santa Cruz. They are planning to settle here. Denise O'Laghlin was the maid of honor, with San-di Perricone, Sandra Rogers, Noelle Civatte, Melanie Hancock, Terri Zapata and Maureen Simmons as bridesmaids. The groomsmen were Peter Stelling, a childhood friend, as best man and the bride's brothers Steve and Tom Perricone, Neill O'Laughlin, Ernie Bom-prezzi, David Bruni and Chuck Schultz as ushers.

The Windy City deejays provided music for the reception and buffet lunch for 250 at the Cocoanut Grove ballroom. Cindy Slocum and Laura Smith attended the guest book. Special guests were the bride's grandparents Catherine and Harold Ayres of Delaware and Peter J. Rinaldi of Santa Cruz. The couple had a honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas, with a stop in Florida.

Gary and Cynthia Cooper Cooper-Preckel Cynthia Preckel and Gary Cooper were married July 14 by the Rev. Al Mergon in the gardens of Watsonville Elks Lodge. She is a secretary with Crowley Sales and Export; he is an industrial engineer with Northern Telecom in Santa Clara. Rashell Heppe was maid of honor; Janet Preckel and Anamarie Alongi were bridesmaids. Best man Scott Carlson attended the groom, along with Tony Cooper and John Preckel, the bride's brother.

Buffet was served in the lodge to 175 guests; Shirley Zeni played piano. The couple's grandmothers were special guests, Mary Cassel, Wilma Cooper and Edna Preckel. Cynthia is the daughter of Susan Aldcn of Watsonville and Dave Preckel of Soquel. She graduated from Soquel High School and attended Cabrillo College. Gary is a graduate of California Polytechnic at San Luis Obispo and Aptos High School.

His parents, Fred and Cecelia Cooper, live in Watsonville. The couple spent a week in Hawaii; they are at home in San Jose. Tina and John Talbot Talbot-Wright Tina Carolyn Wright and John David Talbot were married July 14 by the Rev. Paul Pfotenhauer at Mount Calvary Luthern Church. The bride's sister Sherry Mowatt sang "All My Life" and the groom's future sister-in-law Teresa Morton read a special message.

The couple live in La Jolla. She has been director of health services and athletic trainer at Jolla Country Day School; he is studying for his master's degree and works for 1 Iocs Engineering Co. in Davis, where they are making their home. 'Katy Schrum attended the bride. The bridesmaids were the bride's sisters Jennifer Bettencourt, Sherry Mowatt, Sharon Shulman, Lisa Gregory and Michelle Bettencourt and Cindy Grauf.

Russ Talbot was best man for his brother. Ushers were Neil Cascia, Grant Muller, Alan Barr, Michael Gregory, Michael DeNikc and Phil Bullard. Sadie Anne Gregory carried the flowers; Max De-Nike carried the rings. Duncan Mowatt and Ian Shulman lighted the candles. A reception for 125 guests followed at Harvey West clubhouse.

The couple honeymooned for 10 days at Club Med, Guadeloupe, Mexico. The bride is the daughter of Gene and Jo D. Wright Of Watsonville and Mark Schuler of San Francisco. She is a graduate of Aptos High School, Cabrillo College and Cal Poly at San Luis Obispo. Her master's degree in sports medicine is from San Diego State University.

Willett and Michael A. Levine July 7 at Christ Lutheran Church in Aptos. Cora is with Deer Park Travel in Aptos; Michael is with Kagan Capital in Carmel. Jeanne Baecker attended her friend, with Cora's sister Jeneva Willett and Diane Venable as bridesmaids. Michael McCrery was the best man; the groom's brother Larry Levine and Gary Kreiser were ushers.

Suzanne Levine carried the flowers. Judy Hernandez provided harp music. The 70 guests gathered afterward at the couple's home in Aptos for a garden reception organized by Bonnie Hopkins and Robert Barnes. The band Chateau Bovire played. The bride is a graduate of Imperial High School and attended San Diego State University.

Her parents are Ned and Betty Willett of Imperial. The groom, son of Harry and Judy Levine of Carmel, is a graduate of Miami Beach High School. They honeymooned on the island of Hawaii. Robert and Bonnie Vasseur Vasseur-Bueb Valerie and James Norkoli Norkoli-Peterson Valerie Leigh Peterson and James Eric Norkoli were married June 30 at the First Presbyterian Church of Santa Cruz. She is a security clerk for First Alarm; he is a security sergeant for American Protective Services.

Kiersten Cope attended her friend, with the groom's sister Wendy Norkoli and Elianne Lippetz as bridesmaids. Michael Cossey was best man. Bill Carter and Jeff George were the ushers. Matt George carried the rings. A reception and buffet attended by 150 guests followed at Aptos Village Park.

Special guests included the bride's family from New York state. Valerie is the daughter of Bruce and Charlotte Peterson of Soquel. She graduated from Soquel High School and attended Shasta College. James attended both Soquel High and Shasta College. He is the son of James and Jacquelyn Norkoli of Soquel.

The newlyweds spend four days in the Monterey-Carmel area for their honeymoon. They reside in Felton. Jean Marinovich married Bob Lee July 7 at Star of the Sea Church with the Rev. John Griffin of Holy Eucharist parish in Corralitos officiating. Jean, a graduate of Watsonville High and UC Davis, is with McCutcheon, Doyle, Brown and Enerson law firm in San Jose.

She is the daughter of Brenda and Bill Marinovich of Watsonville. Her husband is assistant district attorney with Santa Cruz County District Attorney's office. He is a graduate of Soquel High And Sacramento State University. His parents are Robert and Enid Lee of Davenport. The bride's three sisters, Lisa Coelho, Annie Marinovich and Toni Greco, were the honor attendants.

Bridesmaids were Julie Linneman, Kim McCaw and Gretchen Bailey. The groom's three brothers, Bill, Mark and Doug Lee, were the best men. The bride's brother Peter Marinovich was an usher, along with Todd Peterson, Lalo Martinez, Mike Toytoa and Scott Wicht. The groom's niece and nephew, Jessica and Graham Lee, were flower girl and ringbearer. A string quartet played during the wedding; the band Nuance played for the reception luncheon at the Cocoanut Grove.

There were 250 guests. The bride's grandparents, Ben and Adeline Ket-chum, came from Arizona. The couple had a two-weeks' honeymoon in the Cook Islands in the South Pacific. Bonnie June Bueb and Robert Ray Vasseur were married July 7 at Oceanview Park in Santa Cruz. Jim Botehlo, a retired judge, officiated.

Diana McBride was the maid of honor and Stacey Vasseur was best man. The bride is the daughter of William and Barbara Bueb of Scotts Valley. She grad-J uated from Santa Cruz High School and currently is an administrative assistant at Santa Cruz City Fire Department and Public Works Department. The groom is the son of Robert Vasseur Sr. of Kentucky and Shelby Hufft of Missouri.

Joseph's Cathedral in San Jose. Bruce, son of Dr. Bruce and Joanne Bruno of Watsonville, is a graduate of Aptos High School and of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y. He was a captain in the U.S.

Army and now works in sales for 3 Com Corp. Vita is the daughter of Karter S. and Jit Sidhu of Oakland. She is a graduate of Cal Poly at San Luis Obispo, where she received a degree in business administration and accounting. She is a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority.

She works as a financial analyst for Hewlett Packard in Sunnyvale. Terence Whenmouth and Catherine Innes Innes-Whenmouth After meeting in India, Catherine Innes and Terence Whenmouth have decided to marry. They set a wedding date of Oct. 28 at First Congregational Church. Catherine, the daughter of Alex and Lois Innes of Scotts Valley, attended Harbor High School and UC Berkeley.

She has a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering and works as a senior pricing analyst at Pyramid Technology in Mountain View. Terence is the son of Norman and Molly When-; mouth of East Finchley, London, England. He attended Ealing Technical College and Highbury Technical College in England, where he studied catering man-; agement. He is an executive chef in London. jiDanfel Carl and Hallie Anzalone Anzalone-Carl 1 Hallie Ann Anzalone and Daniel Christopher Carl Jare engaged and plan a wedding in Santa Cruz next June.

Hallie is the daughter of Dr. Joseph and Lavonne JAnzalone of Santa Cruz. She is a graduate of Harbor High School and UC Los Angeles. She will start graduate school In health administration at the University of Southern California this fall, Daniel is the son of Ted and Joan Carl of Santa He is a graduate of Harbor High School and JUCLA, where he will begin graduate school in architecture and urban planning this fall. Debra Coffey and Mark Sheehan Coffey-Sheehan Debra Ann Coffey and Mark Leslie Sheehan have announced their engagement.

They plan to be married Nov. 24 at the Chapel of the Four Seasons. Debra is the daughter of Bill and Shirley Coffey of Watsonville. She is a graduate of Aptos High School and a bookkeeper for the Credit Bureau of Santa Cruz County. Mark is the son of Jerry and Mary Sheehan of Orange.

He is a graduate of Watsonville High School and is a computer network analyst for Rockwell International Corp. in Seal Beach..
