was released from the Mary Packer HP Joseph J. Wallish, 91, widely known retired tailor and musician, died of a complication of diseases at his home, 37 South Franklin Street, at 6:30 last evening. Despite his advanced age Mr. Wallish enjoyed good health until a montlr ago, when he was stricken acutely ill. A short time later he became bedfast.

Mr. Wallish was born in Bohemia, February 20, 1846, and emmigrated to America 37 years ago. He settled in Shamokin where he became employed as a tailor. Until recent years, when he retired, the deceased was in business with his son, Joseph. Mr.

Wallish was regarded as an accomplished musician. He received training in Europe, and was a member of "various symphony orchestras in Vienna before emmi-grating to America. Stahl, 45, Sunbury World War veteran who was rescued at when a tioop ship transporting United States soldiers was torpedoed by a German U-boat, died at 6:25 this morning in Mary M.

Packer Hospital. In failing health for more than three weeks, Stahl entered the hospital last Sunday. Death was ascribed to a heart condition. Stahl was born in Weigh Scales and resided at Sunbury for 17 years. He was a Pennsylvania Rail-read officer prior to his enlistment in the United States Coast Artillery during the World War, and held the rank of a first lieutenant.

Hospital, Sunbury, where he had been under treatment for injuries suffered last week in an automobile accident. As he left the hospital he was taken in charge by a constable and lodged in the county jail on a charge of forgery brought by a Turbotville resident. Arraigned later before Justice Gair, at Watsontown, Hulsizer was granted liberty when a relative signed a bail bond in the sum of $300 for his appearance at the next term of criminal court.
