Veterans Day ceremonies will be held at the Del Rio Civic Center Tuesday at 4 p.m. These ceremonies are organized by Laughlin Air Force Base and all military organizations.

A flyby by Laughlin aircraft will start off the ceremonies. The public is invited. A Veterans Day Parade on Tuesday will begin at 3 p.m. from Star Park to the Del Rio Civic Center. Entries needed.

Garfield Ave. POLICE Burglary reports plague police FIDEL GARCIA Staff Writer Police closed out the week Friday investigating several criminal incidents, including a burglary that netted $1,000 in losses. That burglary was reported Thursday from the home of Juan R.

Ramirez, 301., Rodrjguez. Margarita Ramirez, said the burglary occurred between 7 p.m. Wednesday and ,8 a.m. Thursday. She said burglars pried open the sheet metal in the garage behind the residence taking four tires arjd wheels, $400 in assorted tools, a stereo cassette player and an antique sewing machine.

Thieves also struck at the Deason Sutliff Garage. 1000 U.S. Highway 90 East, taking $500 in cash from a desk in the garage's workshop. Jeff Sutliff said the theft occurred between noon Tuesday and 11 a.m. Wednesday, according to the investigating officer's report.

Juanita Jimenez, 100 Chestnut reported her purse was stolen from the ladies bathroom at a business on the 2400 block of Avenue F. She said the purse was taken about 11:30 a.m. Thursday. purse contained $100 in cash, a watch, earrings, keys and personal papers. Jimenez estimated her loss at $177, according to the report.

A theft also was reported by Alexandro Trevino at Sonny's Drive "Inn, 700 Margarita Ave. Trevino said two suspects entered the store shortly before 8 p.m. Thursday and left without paying for two 12-packs of beer. He said the beer was valued at $16.38 Vandals also continued to plague Del Rio. Arturo Garcia, 111 Kings Way; reported that vandals scraped the passenger door on in late- model pickup truck about noori Thursday.

Garcia estimated damages at $400, according to the Invests gating officer's report. Police also investigated an incident of criminal mischief at the home of Josie Felton, 205 San Felipe St. Felton said a suspect, whose name she provided to police, broke a window at her residence shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday. The investigating officer said damages in that incident wertf estimated at $40.

Joy Nettleton, 203 Fletcher Drive, Thursday said that some-: one defaced the parking lot sur-; face and started a fire near the- front door at Illusions Salon. The vandalism occurred between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 8, a.m. Thursday. Nettleton gave no estimate of damages, according to the officer's report.
