The goverment report listed a slightly higher figure for the amount of soybeans Inspected last week over the previous week The corn and wheat figures were about the same, thus the trade, with an accumulation of purchase orders from Monday, bought the nearby months and, as a form of Insurance, sold the deferreds or new crop months.

The same division occurred in meal and oil until the close when profit taking hit the oil pit and new buying the meal. In similarly mixed trade, com, wheat and oats were actively bought from the opening bell. There was new talk of a big Russian purchase of wheat and corn and this served to pick off a gain of around 5 cents In wheat and about 3 In corn. An other factor in the wheat demand was some concern over harvest delays in the Southwest and possibly water damage to the winter wheat crop. Corn futures benefited from the export interests as welt as the expanded buying In allied pits.

At the close, soybeans were 4 cents a bushel lower to 16 higher, July 7.92, wheat was 1' 2 to higher, July 2.50, corn was 3 to higher, July 2.29 anc oats were 3V7 higher, July 1.32' 7 open High Low CI om Chg. London police seek LEEDS, England (AP) A killer dubbed by police and newspapere after a 19th century slasher was sought by police Tuesday in a series of five murders of young women in the past 20 months. will strike the Leeds police chief said to back up his call for any witness who might have seen a young man with Jayne McDonald in a beer cellar Saturday night, a few hours before she was killed. Her slashed and battered body was found in a playground in this northern industrial city Sunday morning. The killer's nickname goes back to 1888 when another unknown knifer called Jack the Ripper killed at least five, and perhaps as many as 20; prostitutes in the murky, fog-bound streets of London and became famous in the history of crime. The death of Miss McDonald, a Leeds shop assistant, is linked by police to the brutal murders of four other women.

These four, unlike Miss McDonald but in keeping with the real Jack the Ripper, were all prostitutes. was an entirely respectable girl and she must have been killed by said a detective.
