Adv Weight Loss Surprises Researchers WASHINGTON --A nutrition organization was hopeful that a nutritionally complete "'hi-tech" food tablet would help erase world hunger problems, until a study revealed that one of the ingredients could cause significant weight loss without dieting. Researchers in Europe found that an ingredient in the aptly named product Food Source One actually caused people to lose weight, even though specifically instructed not to alter normal eating patterns, according to one published in the prestigious British Journal of Nutrition. Researchers in an earlier study had speculated that the weight loss was due to a decrease in the intestinal absorption of calories.

While the development of Food Source One, a project of National Dietary Research, would not be used to successfully fulfill its original goal, the discovery has been a windfall for overweight people. A Daytona Beach, Florida woman fighting a weight battle for 12 years used the product on the recommendation of her physician and lost 30 pounds. She stated, "'Not only have I lost 30 pounds but my cholesterol has dropped from 232 to 143. I have two closets full of clothes which have not fit me in two years that I can now wear. In a separate report, telephone interview revealed that a Wilmington, North Carolina pharmacist lost 14 pounds in 15 days on the product and was never hungry.

Food Source One is available through physicians and pharmacies without a prescription because it is not a drug and contains only natural ingredients already known to be safe. Copies of the referenced study are available free from National Dietary Rescarch, Suite 553, 1377 Washington, DC 20005, however please include $2 postage handling for each request. 01990 Omicron International Available in Sapulpa at: PLYMOUTH DRUG COMPANY 25 South Park 224-3883 Deaths Chamber singers and will go for a callback rehearsal on Aug. 15. Marshall says that during the recent war, he shared a lot of emotions with the children and enjoyed it very much. "Sometimes I think I get along better with them than I do with my own brother and sister," he said. Marshall is also very involved with his church, Vanguard Fellowship, teaching children's church once month and helping with the Praise and Worship program. "I like kids," he said. "I feel like I can teach them different things." When Marshall graduates later this month, he says he will miss the friends he has made in high school and the success of the choir.

Deputy police Chief Jim Sherl said Mahlon "Butch" Bastion, 27, put a bullet in his head late Friday as negotiators talked by telephone with 1 his grandmother, who was held in the apartment during the ordeal. Bastion was charged early Friday in district court with two counts of first murder in the deaths of his former employer and employer's wife. A juvenile friend of Bastion's also was charged.

Bastion's 79-year-old grandmother, Darlene Bastion, was alternately described by police as hostage and accomplice. Police said she was given the opportunity to leave early on but refused. Mrs. Bastion, who uses a wheelchair, was wheeled from the apartment by medics after a Special Operations Team entered the apartment and found her grandson dead. She was listed late Friday in good condition at a Tulsa hospital.

Sherl said negotiators had reestablished telephone contact about 7:10 p.m. when a single gunshot sounded. NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC During the next few months, the city of Sapulpa will be inspecting and testing the sanitary sewer system. This study will involve the opening of manholes in the streets and easements. An important task of the survey will be "smoke testing" the sewer lines to locate breaks and delects in the sewer system. Smoke bombs will be ignited in manholes and the smoke blown with a fan back into the sewer system.

THIS SMOKE IS NON-TOXIC, HAS NO ODOR, AND CREATES NO FIRE HAZARD. THE SMOKE SHOULD NOT ENTER YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS UNLESS YOU HAVE DEFECTIVE PLUMBING OR DRIED OUT DRAIN TRAPS. IF YOU HAVE SELDOM USED DRAINS, (SUCH AS FLOOR DRAINS IN LAUNDRY ROOMS OR BELOW HOT WATER TANKS OR AIR CONDITIONERS) PLEASE POUR A QUART OF WATER DOWN THEM TO PROVIDE A SEAL AGAINST THE SMOKE. DRAIN TRAPS SHOULD ALWAYS BE FILLED WITH WATER TO PREVENT SEWER GASSES OR ODORS FROM ENTERING A BUILDING. Notices will be delivered house-to-house before smoke testing begins in an area.

Crews will require access to the streets and easements but will not require access to the inside of any building. If you have any questions or require special attention during the testing please contact Bill Webb at 224-3040. This testing is necessary to maintain the sanitary sewer system and your cooperation is sincerely appreciated. Thank You. The Music Man Auditions: May 17 P.M.
