Tho resolution was introduced by tho Rev. Samuel G. Henderson, rector at Newcastle. The Rt. Rev.

Oliver L. Lor-ing, DD. Bishop of Maine had previously said that the Episcopalians and other faiths have held long and serious discussions on the search for' unity. He added that there is fcs yet no plan for a -united church. The rules mean the Episcopal Church is not willing to relinquish their basic beliefs. Bishop Loring said the church will have to decide at its national convention in Seattle next fall whether we trust the process of consultory dialogue to the point of definite plan for a united church. V. 8. Dept.

The state committee is most anxious to obtain 35 mm slides of the fence-painting bee that highlighted a recent Bangor weekend, when a corps of rapid painters from Dow Air Force Base defeated the local Chamber of Commerce team in painting the long wooden fence that lines the rail yard on Main" Street in Bangor.

The committee would like to have duplicates of any available slides made, to be used in its program of encouraging such types of beautification projects throughout the state. They turned for help to the Bangor Garden Club, which fosters the Keep Bangor Beautiful project. Mrs. Kerber wonders if any area residents took 35 mm color slides during the painting bee, and would be willing to loan them to her organization long enough for the slides to be copied. They would be returned promptly and in good condition.

Anyone who can lend a helping hand to this project may tele-phone or drop a line to Mrs Kerber, at 354 Fourteenth Street, Bangor. a SLICK TRICK Clean your patent-leather handbags and shoes' with liquid glass deader.
