"I feel that their instruction has enabled me to advance very rapidly in the past two years," Mr. Sheffer said. Mr. Sheffer joined the York Little Theatre during the season of 1935-36, when he appeared in "The Unconq tiered." During the following season he played in "Valley Forge" and "Post Road." Current Films Dorothy Lamour, Bing Crosby And Bob Hope Combine To Make "Road To Singapore" A Pleasing Musical Comedy With Dorothy Lattlour sinking at her best, Bob Hope, in possibly the best role he has had to date, and Bing Crosby singing as he never sang be-I fore, "The Road to Singapore" is enjoyable entertainment. The story isn't much, but the combined efforts of the three stars makes up for the lack in that department, and we heard little or no complaint from Saturday's first day audiences. Crosby is the son of a steamship magnate, who doesn't want to succeed his father, and would rather sail the seven seas with his pal Hope They land on a South Sea island where they save Dotty from her dancing partner, Anthony Quinn and settle down to enjoying life.

Both the boys fall for the girl, but things go smoothly until Crosby's dad and nis fiancee arrive to the errant son back to civilization. Crosby finally gets the girl and stays on the island. Let therefore its first message be a tribute of thanks to God for giving the minds of our day the inspiration to unravel the secrets of the uni-Mcrse." Dr.

Henry McCrea Cavert, of the Federal Council of Churches of Christ in America, telecast hiS Faster sermon. Both services and Faster parade scenes were carried over NBC's station W'X'BS.
