outline of work being done at the hatcheries Chief Warden Dowers told the club members of the work being done to build up the warden force and save needless expenses Clyde Whitcomb chief of fish distribution for the fish and game serv ice told the gathering of the new watershed distribution of fish planting Wardens Cunningham and Pollard were also presented to the gathering it being a farewell to Cunningham who has been moved to Milton and a welcome to Pollard who has been moved into this territory I At the conclusion of the speaking program the gathering had the opportunity of seeing for the first time the state official movies of work at the hatcheries and the stripping of salmon and other fish for eggs The pictures were especially entertaining to club members who had never had the opportunity of visiting a hatchery or seeing the stripping done During the evening it waq announced that a consignment of brook trout would be received from Massachusetts on Saturday morning There will be 2300 trout in the consignment and they will all be planted in nearby streams under the direction of the club trout committee The now famous Gunner brook devoted to the kids alone will receive a share of the trout It was also stated that the first shipment of Wisconsin Bnowshoe rabbits will probably be received here on Nov 20 so that they may become acclimated while the gunners are busy with the deer season Announcement was made of a meeting to be held next Wednesday evening to iron out matters of rabbit distribution A luncheon was served to the gathering at the conclusion
