Helen F. Nicholas, 121 North Oxford street, and seven children. Mr. Miedwig was a member of Christ Lutheran church, Shrewsbury. Funeral arrangements were incomplete last night.

Jesse A. Lentz Services were conducted yesterday from Emig Funeral home, Dover, for Jesse A. Lentz, 737 Manchester street, who died Friday at the York hospital. Mr. Lentz, husband of the late Bertha Mae Brougher Lentz, was a member of the Vigilant Fire company.

Rev. Gerald D. Kauffman, pastor of Third EUB church, officiated. Pallbearers were his three sons, Bruce, Luther and Russell Lentz, and a grandson, Robert Lentz. Interment was in Mt.

Pleasant cemetery. Mrs. Howard McCulIough Services were conducted yesterday at the Shindler Funeral home for Mrs. Clara E. Rohrbaugh McCulIough, wife of Howard F.

Mc CulIough, who died Saturday at her residence, 223 North Pine street. Rev. Dr. Paul I Foulk; supply pastor of Christ Lutheran church, officiated. Pallbearers were Richard Rohrbaugh, Charles Ilgenfritz, Edivard Rohrbaugh, Kenneth Rohrbaugh, Harry Rohrbaugh and Paul Rohrbaugh, Jr.

Interment was in Mt. Rose cemcteiy. Canby E. Deveney Services for Canby E. Deveney, husband of Hilaria L.

Deveney, 307 Carlisle avenue, who died Friday at York hospital, were held yesterday from Max G. Anstine Funeral home. Rev. Walter Reichner, pastor of Church of the Open Door, officiated. Pallbearers from Mt.

Vernon Encampment 14, IOOF, were E. Austin Ruth and Chester Newcomer, and from Continental Assembly 24, Artisans Order of Mutual Protection, George Knaub, David Ness. Samuel Farringer and Perry Kerns. Interment was in Greenmount cemetery. Frank S.

Law Funeral services for Frank S. Law, husband of Emma Mae Law, who died Sunday night at his residence, 255 East Princess street, were held last evening at the Strack and Strine Funeral home. Rev. Dr. Chester S.

Simonton, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran church, officiated. Interment was in West Laurel Hill cemetery, Philadelphia. Norman E. Kreuger Funeral services for Norman E.

Kreuger, husband of Pauline Stiegler Kreuger, who died Sunday at home, 539 Yale street, were held yesterday afternoon at Guy B. Creep Funeral home. Rev. Enno A. Schmoock, pastor of St.

John's Lutheran church, officiated, and burial was in Greenwood cemetery, Lancaster. Pallbearers, fellow members of York County Pharmaceutical association, were James Cramer, Blaine Miller, Clair Moore, Sidney Levi-tan, P. W. Garton, Wayne" Arnold and William Abram. Himes, Banker, 69, Dead President of York Trust Co. and industrialist succumbs in Hanover hospital from heart ailment. Funeral scheduled tomorrow. William Daniel Himes, 69, president of the York Trust company and co-founder and official in a number of York county industries, died Monday at 5:15 p.m. in Hanover General hospital where he was admitted Friday suffering from a coronary occlusion.

He was a' resident of New Oxford. A son of the late William A. and Catharine W. Gitt Himes, he was associated with the New Oxford Shoe company before entering military service in World War I. He served in France as a captain in the Ordnance Department.

Mr. Himes, a member of the board of directors of the York Trust company for 48 years, was named vice president of the institution in 1937 and was elected president in 1943. A vice president and director of the Alloy Rods company and Drawalloy corporation, he served on the boards of American Insulator company, New Freedom, and C. H. Bear company.

From 1925 to 1927 he was affiliated with the American Caramel company and Rodda Candy company, Lancaster. An ardent golfer, Mr. Himes was a member of the Lafayette club and the Hanover and York Country clubs. Surviving are: His wife, Mrs. Grace D.

Taylor Himes; four children, Mrs. Max B. Miller, La-Porte, Mrs. D. E.

Winebren-ner, III, and William Himes, both of New Oxford, and Attorney Laurence T. Himes, 117 East Springettsbury avenue; 13 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Amelia H. Walker, Baltimore, Md. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m.

at his late home. Rev. Amos Mayers, pastor of Emory Methodist New Oxford, will officiate. Burial will be in New Oxford cemetery. Harmon B.

Durborow Harmon B. Durborow, 79, retired York Dispatch editorial employe, died at 1:55 p.m. Monday at Pleasant Acres after a lingering illness. Mr. Durborow joined the Dispatch in 1920 and served 33 years on the night editorial desk before illness forced his retirement in 1953.

Prior to coming to York he served as reporter for the Reading Eagle and the Middletown Journal. Mi. Durborow wss sn svid camera fan and was well known for his many photographs of county personalities. He was born May 22, 1878, in Falmouth, Lancaster county, the son of Cyrus S. and Mary Beard Durborow.

He is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Harry R. Durborow, Highspire; Mrs. Bertha H. Pisle, Philipsburg, N. Charles F.

Durborow, Bainbridge, Pa. RD, and Mrs. Anna L. de Champlain, Harrisburg, and a number of nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m.

Friday at Clyde Coble Funeral home, 208 North Union street, Middletown. Burial will be in Middletown cemetery. Calvin E. Wire Calvin E. Wire, 71, was found dead -in his room at 250 North George street, yesterday at 7 a.m.

Coroner Lester J. Sell estimated he had been dead about four hours and attributed death to acute myocarditis (inflammation of the muscular part of the heart.) A World War I veteran, Wire is survived by a stepson, Harry Miller, Manchester RD 1. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Ivan S. Zech Ivan S.

Zech, 65, died yesterday at 9 a.m. at his residence, 11 West King street. A retired railroad brakesman, he is survived by a daughter, Doris Zech, 317 West Market street; three sisters, Mrs. R. S.

Bowersox, 550 Madison avenue, Mis. A. A. Straley, Littlestown RD 1, and Mrs. Erney Spangler, Bainbridge RD-1; four brothers, Roy W.

Zech, 717 Maryland avenue; George E. Zech, Dallastown, Paul R. Zech, 546 Bergman street and Victor C. Zech, Wilkes-Barre. Mr.

Zech was a member of Trinity Lutheran church, York Lodge 148, Loyal Order of Moose, John W. Stambaugh Dies; York Trust Co. Teller John W. Stambaugh, 65, of 1429 Second avenue, became ill while shopping at Weis market, 1735 East Market street, yesterday morning and was pronounced dead on arrival at York hospital at 10:30 a. m.

A teller at York Trust company, he was the husband of Mrs. Jus-tina Auchey Stambaugh. Deputy Coroner Philip R. Ness attributed death to a heart attack and said the hot weather yesterday probably "helped along" the seizure. Mr.

Stambaugh was taken to the hospital in a Springetts ambulance. He had been under medical care and had been off work for a number of weeks because of illness. Mr. Stambaugh joined York Trust company four years ago. He was formerly employed by C.

M. Parr and Company and for 20 years operated his own grocery store on West Princess street. He was the son of the late Martin L. and Margaret Myers Stambaugh. In addition to his wife, he leaves three brothers and a sister, Paul D.

Stambaugh, 1329 South George street; A. M. Stambaugh, 35 North Findlay street; Mrs. Ada Gladfelter, 217 Kurtz avenue, and C. Fred Stambaugh, 28 North Findlay.

He was a member of Advent Lutheran church and the Men's Bible class of the Sunday school. His pastor. Rev. Dr. H.

Walter Webner, will officiate at funeral services Friday at 2 p. m. at Etz-weiler Funeral home, 1111 East Market street. Interment will be in Mt Rose cemetery. York Aerie 183, Fraternal Order of Eagles and York Nest 113, Fraternal Order of Orioles.

His pastor, Rev. Harold J. Crouse, will officiate at funeral services tomorrow at 2 p.m. from Strack and Strine Funeral home, 1205 East Market street. Interment will be in Mt Zion cemetery.

Amanda E. iloke Amanda Elmira Hoke, 71, daughter of the late William and Sara Hoke, died yesterday at 7:45 ajn. at her residence, 37 West Market street. She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Lucy Rohrbaugh, 535 Girard avenue; Mrs.

Alvin Miller, 735 Madison avenue, and Mrs. George Nichol, 36 North Hartman street. Rev. Harold S. Crouse, pastor of Trinity Lutheran church, of which she was a membef, will officiate at funeral services tomorrow, at 11 a.m.

at Max G. Anstine Funeral home, 1701 West Market street. Interment will be in Prospect Hill cemetery. Simon L. Wertz Simon L.

Wertz, 79, died at 12:10 p.m. yesterday at Pleasant Husband of the late Alice Kauffman Wertz, he formerly lived at 974 East King street. He belonged to Second Church of the Brethren and Gilt Edge Bible class of the Sunday school. Surviving are two daughters and a son, Mrs. Edward Wolf, 318 East Maple street; Mrs.

Arthur Peters, 1237 East Maple street, and Harold Wertz, 2382 Sunset road; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. His pastor, Rev. Robert Turner, will conduct services at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Guy B. Creep Funeral home, East and Market streets.

Interment will be in Mt. Rose cemetery. Mrs. Harry C. Sunday Mrs.

Celestia E. Sunday, wife of Harry C. Sunday, died at 11 o'clock last night at her residence, 706 Pennsylvania avenue. She was 83. Survivors, in addition to her husband, are three sisters; Mrs.

Maurice Seifert, 910 Clayton avenue; Mrs. Alton Hildebrand, Jefferson, and Mrs. Charles Gantz, 508 -West Princess street, and two brothers, Clarence B. Seitz, 508 West Princess street, and John M. Seitz.

1561 West King street. Mrs. Sunday was a member of Union Lutheran church and the North Wing Bible class of the Sunday school. She also belonged to Gettysburg Woman's league, Ladies auxiliary of Lincoln Fire company and the Ladies auxiliary of the YMCA. Funeral arrangements were incomplete last night.

Charles Miedwig Charles Miedwig, husband of Elizabeth Wagner Miedwig, died at 6:15 o'clock last evening at his home, 916 Hill street. He was 90. Surviving are his wife; two sons, John A.
