CITY PLANNERS (Continued from page 3) "workable program," a comprehensive plan required by the federal government, for elimination of blighted areas and prevention of their recurrence. The planners slated a population analysis, first step of the plan, and a study of the city's recreation space needs, a survey recently agreed upon by the planners. Approved formally the Miller tract as a site for York School district to build a new junior high school.

Gave final approval to Evun-breth, C. J. Beshore's sub-division in Manchester township adjacent to North York borough. Details Later In setting the boundary for Young to indicate in the certification, the commission did not define precise limits for clearance and renewal. The planners are merely called upon to set the general area for redevelopment, Young explained.

The redevelopment authority eventually would have to submit to the commission a more detailed plan showing exactly what properties would be day at York hospital, were held yesterday from Max G. Anstine Funeral home. Rev. Franklin Patschke, pastor of St. Paul's (Wolf's) Lutheran church, officiated.

Pallbearers were Burt Altland, Charles Wit-man, John Sechrist, George Hart-man, George Krout and Don Baker. Burial was in Wolf's Union cemetery. involved in the project, Young said. In discussing the long-range workable program, Young detailed the various steps, including population analysis, which the commission will be expected to undertake in the future. He told a reporter he hopes to start on the population analysis, to be made concurrently with the recreation study, sometime next month and complete the dual project within about three months.

By then it will be about time to lay the groundwork for public financing plans for public improvements projects, another aspect of the workable program, he said. Donald L. Tauser, superintendent of mails, reported that York Post office now is compiling a list of some 8,000 street names for reference of sub-division developers. To avoid duplication of street names the commission will require clearance with the post office before giving approval to new developments. The planners also agreed to a revision in plans for a portion of Leafydale terrace, being laid out by J.

C. Hoffman, in York and Spring Garden townships, which would allow the developer to leave out a block-long section of a street shown in the original plan. The resulting area could be used for purposes other than housing lots, Young explained. LIGHT REQUEST (Continued from page 3) PTG. Oldhouser said that the parents' group had been promised aid by numerous state and local legislative and administrative officials in its quest for the signal.

Full Or Part-Time Board president PTtU P. Stock said the commissioners', would petition the state and, if granted, would get money "somewhere" to erect the light. He said first they would request a full-time light, but if this fails they will ask for a part-time light. Among other business last night, the commissioners adopted an ordinance to enter the York Regional Refuse authority and appointed Grant H. Voaden, 103 Edgewood road, to represent the commissioners on the authority.

The commissioners did not take action on a petition signed by 21 families in the Hill street-Spahn avenue area charging Brocker Manufacturing Supply company on Spahn avenue with being a public nuisance. Solicitor Horace G. Ports said this case did not come within the jurisdiction of the board.
