The Gazette and Daily, York, COUNTY Wednesday Morning, June 12, 1957 Paper, Staffs Yearbook Youth Devotional Group Placing Magazine Selected In Motels, Garages Hunt and Joan Williams named editors of Courier and Calumet publications at Susquehannock High school. Vivian Hunt and Joan Williams have been named as editors of the 1957-58 Courier' and Calumet, respectively, of Susquehannock High school. Miss Hunt, who replaces her sister, Loretta, who was graduated this year, served as second page editor of the school paper for the 1956-57 term. Miss Williams, who will succeed Elaine Ingham, served as junior assistant editor of school yearbook during the past year. Other members of the Courier staff will be: Robert Wolf, managing editor; Delphus Forbush, Roberta Stermer, Ruth Rehmeyer, Samuel Shewell and Robert Miller, page editors; Aija Melbardis and Stephanie Spiegel, news editors; Joyce Krebs, feature editor; Barbara Bortner, girls sports Evelyn Lloyd' and Phyllis Stermer, alumni editors.

H. Lowe Bible class of Trinity Methodist Sunday school will sponsor a food and bake sale in the church social room Friday beginning at 4 p.m. The program has been announced for the annual carnival of the New Freedom Lions club to be held July 3 to 6 on the local playgrounds. Included among the entertainment will be: July 3, Reg. Kehoe and his All-Girl Marimba band; July 4, Shorty and Sally Fincher and fireworks; July 5, The Tones, and July 6, the Southern York County band.

New Freedom Fire Co. Auxiliary To Conduct Wiener Roast Friday The youth division of the 12th District Sabbath School association of York county is working on a project of placing the daily devotional magazine, "'The Upper in rooms of motels and service stations along the Harrisburg-Baltimore expressway between New Cumberland and Strinestown. At the present time, 81 rooms are furnished with the magazine. A map showing the location of all churches in the district and the times of services will be distributed to motels and service stations along the road. Division members are going to take part in a spiritual retreat June 15 and 16 at Central Oak Heights.

The group will leave from St. Paul's EUB church, Newberrytown, at 10 a.m. June 15. Rev. Daren L.

Miller, division advisor, will accompany the group and conduct the worship services Sunday morning. Youths planning to attend are asked to contact the division president, John Kohler, phone Lewisberry 2400. Mrs. Joseph Lehman, Locust Grove, Dies Grove Mrs. Ida I.

Emenheiser, Lehman, Lehman, died wife at 2:15 of p. m. yesterday at her residence, here. She was 70. Mrs.

Lehman, daughter of the late Peter K. and Sarah E. Spyker Emenheiser, was a member of the local Brethren in Christ church and the Bible class of the Sunday school. Surviving, besides her husband, are: Five children, Mrs. Clarence Kaltreider and Joseph, Lehman, both of York RD Mrs.

David Newcomer, York RD Mrs. Lloyd Melhorn, York RD 7, and Sarah Lehman, at home; 10 grandchildren, eight brothers Mrs. Lillie Young, Dallastown; Harry, Paul and John Emenheiser, Mrs. Walter Stine and Mrs. Arthur Heindel, all of Red Lion RD Mrs.

Theodore' Gable, Clear Springs, and William Emenheiser, York RD 9. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p. m. at the Brethren in Christ church. Rev.

Leroy G. Yoder, pastor, and Bishop Irwin W. Musser, Mt. Joy, will officiate. Interment will be in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Etzweiler Funeral home, York, is in charge of arrangements. HOME FROM HOSPITAL Brogueville Mrs. Harvey Hamme, Brogueville RD 1, was conveyed from York hospital to her home near here yesterday in the Olewiler ambulance, Red Lion. She was a hospital patient about four weeks as the result of a fractured hip. New Freedom--Ladies' auxiliary of Rose Fire company will hold a wiener roast Friday eveni.

Knight, Former Darlington Resident, Succumbs Darlington, Md. Stewart B. Knight, a former resident of this place, died Monday at 10 p.m. at St. Jude hospital, Fullerton, Calif.

He was 48. A son of the late R. Bernard and Elsie S. Knight, he resided here and was engaged in farming until 1952 when he moved to Anaheim, Calif. He was a member of Stephenson Lodge 135, AF and AM, of this place.

Mr. Knight is survived a brother, Edward A. Knight, this place, and a number of nieces and nephews. Rev. John Mackey, pastor of Darlington Methodist church, will officiate at funeral services Friday at 2 p.m.

New Freedom Youth Is Penn State Grad New Freedom Allan Holland, husband of Jane Anderson Holland, was graduated from Pennsylvania State university Saturday with a bachelor of arts degree in engineering science. Holland, son of Mr. and Mrs.

C. A. Holland, who attended the commencement exercises, has accepted a position with the Gienn Martin airplane plant at Essex, Md. Rose Fire company will hold its monthly meeting Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the borough building.
