Pursuant to law the Board of County Commissioners of Custer county, met to examine the assessment roll and equalize the assessment of property. In the matter of the assessment of certain residents of Custer county for the year 1900, it is here ordered that the Clerk notify the following-named persons to appear on the 23rd day of July, 1900, and show cause on that date, or as soon thereafter as the matter may be reached, why the valuation of property rendered by such individuals for the year 1900 should not be raised in the following particulars, to-wit Geo. It was therefore ordered that the Clerk notify said Joseph Rodgers to appear on July 23rd. 1900. to show cause ou that date, (or as soon thereafter as the matter may be reached), why the value of property assessed to him for 1900 should not be raised In the value of being ihe value of V22 head of sheep at 13 per head, and 188 bucks at $10 per head. Bradbury In his application for a reduction of value for taxation for the year 1900, on his residence property lying west of the Challls townsite, and presented a duly sworn written statement. It is here ordered that the value of said property for taxation for the year 1900 be changed from $900 to iroo. The examination of the assessment roll having been completed. It Is ordered that this Board sitting as a Board of Equalization do now adjourn. 4, apat Regular Session.

In the matter of petition of W. G. Short for authority to change the public road running through his ranch in Road Dist. No. 1.

The petition not being in compliance with the provisions of Sections 920, 921 and 922 of the Revised Statutes of the State of Idaho, the Board have no lawful authority to act in the matter. In the matter of special report of School Supt. in regard to School Dist. No. 2, (Bayhorse), not having complied with the requirements of Sec.

40, of Chapter of Session Laws of Idaho, entitled "An Act to Establish a System of Free Schools, approved Feb. 6th, 1899. dered that the Clerk notify the Trustees of said School District that unless a school shall have been commenced in said district prior to Oct. 8th, 1900, the Board will attach said school district to some other district or districts, and instruct the School Supt. to sell the property thereof as quired by law.

And that the Clerk also notify the School Supt. of the action of the Board in this matter. Report of School Supt. examined and approved. Report of J.

F. Davis, Justice of the Peace of Custer precinct, in the case of the State of Idaho vs. Julian Bodard. Referred to County Attorney. Iu the matter of the petition of citizens Pahsamaroi valley, in Roafi Dist.

No. 1, for the construction of a piece of new road in said district, and one-half of a bridge across Pahsamaroi river. It is ordered that the matter be laid over until next meeting of the Boatd, and that the Clerk is hereby instructed to notify the petitioners or any one of them, that it will be necessary for them to furnish the Board with the name or names of the owners of land over which the road will pass, and whether the owners consent thereto; and to furnish a bond as required by Sec. 922 of the Road Laws of the State of Idaho, before the Board is authorized to take action on said petition. In the matter of the liquor bond for approval. The bond of Jordan Watson for the sale of intoxicating liquors in the town of Challis was approved. The bond of John H. Hickey for sale of intoxicating liquors in the town of Bonanza not approved, and ordered returned for correction.

In the matter of the petition of residents of School District No. 12 for a division of said district and the organization of a new district. It is ordered that the same be not granted at this time, as the requirements of the law had not been complied with. Report of hospital contractor examined and approved. In the matter of the reports of the county officers the following were examined and approved: Report of Coroner.

Probate Judge. Road Overseer Dist 1. 2 3. In the matter of the resignation of J. H.

McGee constable of Custer precinct. Resignation of said McGee accepted. In the matter of establishing Commissioner districts as quired by the laws of the State of Idaho. It is ordered that Commissioner District No. 1, shall comprise all that part of said county contained in Bayhorse, Challis, Sunol and Pahsamaroi Election precincts.

District No. 2 shall comprise all that part of said county contained in Clayton, Stanley, Bonanza and Custer precincts. District No. 3 shall comprise all that part of said county contained in Battle Ground and Houston precincts. The County Attorney having submitted to the Board an opinion in writing relating to the case of the State of Idaho vs.

Julian Bodard, tried in the Justice Court of Custer precinct, which opinion recites that the District Court only, has jurisdiction in the matter, when properly brought before it on appeal. This Board concurring in the opinion so submitted, decline to take any action in the matter. In the matter of fixing the salary for the County Attorney for the term commencing on the 2nd Monday of January, 1901. It is ordered that it be and the same is fixed at for each year.
