Sayre Violinist Appearing in Valley Combines Youth and Musicianship MARILYN WRIGHT Youth and beauty, and experience and superb musicianship are combined in the person of Marilyn Wright, young violinist who will appear Feb. 22 at Sayre high school auditorium in the third Valley Celebrities Concert association program of the current season.

Only 22 years of age, Miss Wright is one of the most attractive personalities on the concert stage today. But in spite of her youth, she has a solid background in her art, having begun the study of the violin at the age of four. She made her first important public appearance as an amateur at the age of 11 years and was hailed as a true child prodigy. Five years later, at the age of 16, she made her professional debut with the Seattle Symphony Orchestra, in the SaintSaens Concerto for violin and orchestra, which brought such critical comment as: "A sensitive, graceful player, whose; tone quality is very pure," and "(She has) a fluent dramatic style (and) played with sureness and clarity." During the six years since her debut, Miss Wright has rolled up an impressive record of appearances with many orchestras, with chamber music groups and as a solo recitalist in many parts of the country, and has won wide recognition as one of the finest younger violinists in North America. Her concert in Sayre Feb.
