Unleashing its most powerful offensive of the season, Red Lion High, to the surprise of no one, swamped West York High Saturday afternoon on the West York gridiron, 45 to 0.

In winning the final game of the season for both teams, Red Lion halted a brief and unexpected losing streak of two games for a season's record of seven wins and two defeats while West York was forced to settle for a lone victory against nine setbacks. Captain Ronnie Fitzkee, mainstay of the Red Lion team, ended three years of brilliant football playing for the countians by scoring three touchdowns Saturday. Curvin Rexroth, another standout senior backfield star, added two more while Ronald Urey, senior end, collected another pair of touchdowns. Rexroth added two points after touchdowns while Don Grove, still another senior backfieldman, collected the other tally on a conversion. All three bonus points were scored on line plunges.

West York was outclassed all the way and never had a chance after Red Lion scored early in the first period. The Lions another six-pointer in the first period, collected three in the second frame and one each during the third and fourth periods. Red Lion's first score resulted from a 76-yard sustained drive. Only ten plays were required to travel the distance after the Lions took a West York kick on the 24-yard line. The payoff play was a 34-yard pass gain which Urey took from Penny Smith, also a senior, on the 20 and continued to the end zone.

Four first downs were reeled off during the drive, as Rexroth and Smith did as nexruiu ana oiiiiui uiu the ball lugging. Rexroth most plunged over for the conversion. Seconds later Willis Shatter, a senior tackle, blocked a West York kick on the 11 and recovered for Red Lion. Rexroth made three and then Fitzkee shot over from the eight. Fitzkee failed to make the extra point on a plunge.

In the second period Red Lion secured possession of the leather on the West York 45 and needed only three plays to score. Grove made eight yards at the line and then took a pass from Smith for 17 yards to put the ball on the 20-yard marker. Rexroth swung wide to the left on the next attempt and romped to the score. He also plunged over on the conversion to malrp thf srrrp 20-0. After West York failed to gain following the kickoff, the Blue and White booted to their own 44.

Rexroth failed to gain at the line and then arched a forward to Fitzkee for a touchdown, covering the entire 44 yards in one effort. Grove plunged across to make the score 27-0. Three plays after the kickoff Urey intercepted a pass on the 33-yard stripe and scored standing up. A fumble ruined chances of adding the conversion and the snore stood at 33-0 at the half Red Lion relented somewhat during the third period and Sh1r bSDrds fui march following the opening kickoff.
