KCSD-TV for adult education programs at night was approved yesterday by the Board of Education The board authorized the television station to affiliate with the National Educational Television and Radio center (NETRC) The station operated by the Kansas City school district for classroom instruction probably will begin televising the adult night programs by mid-November James A Hazlett superintendent of schools said By then the station should have completed its affiliation with the NETRC network and have received a video-tape machine Cost of $7200 Yearly Affiliation with the NETRC network will cost the school district $7200 a year and in return the station w'ill be provided with enough taped programs of an educational cultural and civic nature to provide two hours of programing an invitation from Mayor Roe Bartle to consider cooperative legal action The move was prompted by the gas company's application for an S'i-million-dnliar increase to be passed along to users Mayor
