10 Tfctygfiav. Aug. Lincoln tremng Journal State Journal Visitors Incentives for Social Goings-On Hagens Return From Trip West Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hagan have returned from a vacation which took them from Estes Park, to New Mexico and included Mesa Verde National Park.

Arriving Saturday to visit the Hagans will be their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Hagan and William of Cincinnati, 0. The visitors will spend about 10 days in the Capital City, Women Back Homo Mmes. Clara Hand, Gerttrude Trump, Hijda Stebbins and Caroline Schrader have returned from New Orleans, where they spent tiieir vacation.

Cooper, also of Winnipeg, who has been a guest of the Vaughns. Mrs. Vaughn is also a daughter of Mrs. Cooper. A trip to Colorado Springs, where they were guests of the J.

Lynn Smiths, and to Longmont, where they visited the Glen Henry. Richard Vasicek and Francis Brennan families, made an enjoyable vacation for Donald Dankers of Patrician Heights. More news from the Dankers concerns Miss Vicki Danker of Campbell who is spending several days with Kathy and Danny. Vicki's parents are Mr. and Mrs.

Victor Danker who also visited the Lincolnites. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stall Jr. and family, accompanied bs Mr.

and Mrs. K. N. Stall ui Rennet, spent a day in Grand Island, guests of the Hud lines. Guests at the Ray Degenhardt home in Eastborough were Mr.

and Mrs. Carl Richard of Milton vale. Kan. Barbara Richard who had spent a week with her sister returned home with her parents. Other guests were Mrs.

Therese Degenhardt and Jerry of Crete. JlincoLn Jbociztu Mrs. Robert J. Kirkendall of Wheatridge, Colo. Hastings Miss Suzanne Greenfield, daughter of Mrs.

Orville Greenfield, and Robert James Kirkendall, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Kirkendall of Grand Island were married Saturday in the First Presbyterian Church.

Miss Joan Augustin of Phoenix, was maid of honor. Mrs. Lyman Cass of Fort Knox, was matron and bridesmaids were the Misses Shirley Hopkins and Diane Erickson of Denver. Stanley Kirkendall of Grand Island served as best man. Groomsmen were Ron-, aid Nathan of Denver.

William Harris of Grand Island and Gordon Metcalf of Lincoln. Ushers were Steven Hansen of Grand Island and Wyman Kenagy Jr. of Lincoln. The bride was a countess in the Court of Ak-Sar-Ben in 1958 Both are graduates of the University of Nebraska where she is affiliated with Alpha Phi Sorority and he is a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. They will live in Wheatridge, Colo Attending Lake Forest Academy in Lake Forest.

Ill, is getting to be a tradition in the Richard D. Wilson family. Mr. Wilson was graduated from the academy, and this year Ms son. Dick.

13, will enrol as a freshman. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson and Carter Familv er Sent to Germany Leaving Lincoln Sept. 10 for a new assignment in Germany will be Lt.

Col. and Mrs. Daniel M. Carter and family. Col.

Carter, who has been subsector commander of the Lincoln subsector, XVI U.S. Army Corps, for the past years, will be on the staff at VII Corps Headquarters in Mohringen, Germany, a suburb of Stuttgart. Accompanying their parents to Germany will be Janie, 18 who will be attending the University of Munich branch 13; Hal, 11, and Paige, 5. The present plans call for a return to Lincoln in about 7 years, for they plan to make their home here after the colonel retires. their children.

Dick, Elizabeth. 12, and David. 4, returned from Rutgers Bay Lodge near Deerwood, just in time to pack Dick's clothes for school. He will leave Sept. 18.

Dog trials will take Mr. and Mrs. John Van Bloom and their black Labradors, Tammy and Clipper, to Cheyenne and Sheridan, Friday. While they are in Sheridan they will stay at Mr. and Mrs.

Jack ranch. They will return to Lincoln the day after Labor Day. Left behind at home will be Mary Liz, 10, and Gretchen, 17. Gretchen will enroll at the University of Nebraska this fall. Miss Ann Rogers, who will be married Sept.

9 to Dr. Robert White, will be guest of honor at a coffee Saturday morning at the home of Mrs. Willard M. Folsom. Mrs.

Folsom and Mrs. Walter W. White will be hostesses. Head Named Bv Teachers Mrs. Fay Mitchell of Allen will serve as president of the Nebraska Homemak- mg Education Conference during the next year.

She succeeds Mrs. Jan Meyer of Aurora. Also elected during the conference Thursday morning are Miss Barbara Barkmeier of Plattsmouth. vice president; Mmes. Ella Higgins of Broken Bow, secretary, and Fern Medlin of Albion, treasurer.

Next year's conference, which will be in Lincoln, was the subject for the Thursday afternoon session of the 4-day meet. Two hundred homemaking teachers were present.
