She graduated from Los Banos High School. Her parents were from Italy and she was raised in a traditional Italian family along wtih seven brothers and sisters Amelia married Carl Carlucci in 1939, and they had two children. They lived in Vallejo for a short time and moved back to Dos Palos and started a family and ranch- ing business. Amelia worked by her side helping with the busi- ness and taking care of her family.

She loved to cook, and enjoyed her vacations in Santa Cruz with her fami- ly. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grand- mother. Amelia loved fami- ly gatherings and always made people feel welcome and loved. Amelia will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She is preceded in death by: brothers, Tony Tos- cano, Frank Toscano; sis- ters, Josephine Carlucci, Rosie Toscano.

She is survived by he husband, Carl Carlucci of Los Banos; daughter, Sandra Carlucci Benech of Fresno; son, Carl L. Car- lucci and his wife Karen of Fresno; brothers, Jimmy Toscano, GeeGee Tos- cano; sister, Mary Carlucci all of Los Banos; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She en- joyed all hobbies especial- ly in crafts, from sewing to painting, which were her favorites. Her love was In the performing arts, where she started to dance at the age of ten. Her par- ents had enrolled her at the Severance Ballet Dance Studio. She was a performer in the arts of Ballet Dancing, Modern Jazz, Tap, Belly Dancing, Salsa, and her favorite was Mexicano Dancing of all arts and many other styles of dancing. She en- couraged her daughter and son into the perform- ing arts, where they per- formed in the Nutcracker, and son Fernando was in TV commercials.

Her edu- cation was in Law and In- vestigation. She worked as a Federal Employee for 28 years. Birdie has joined her fa- ther Jose, in Heaven. She is survived by her beloved husband of over 31 years, Jose; her two children, Fernando and Sara; her two brothers, Pepe and Martin; her sister Norma, and her mother Sara. She will miss her favorite sis- ters in law: Carmen, Mar- gie, Hope, Lupe, Sally, and all her family mem- bers and friends that she loved so deeply.

Oh, Lord, you call my name so deep in my heart, the pain of leaving. Come, you say, come home. Oh Lord, here, have mercy on all my family and friends. My love and prayers I give to all until we meet again. Amen, Birdie.
