Greenway The system aims to give town residents trails between subdivisions that they can walk run and ride bicycles on without having to worry about the hazards of vehicle traffic "It's a quality-of-life issue" said Rae-Lynn Ziegler a Wake Forest resident who has played a role in grreenway planning "I have a close family that likes to engage in recreational activities together and we can't do that with traffic the way it is around here" Wake County recently set aside $15 million for future open-space and greenway projects But before applying for this funding the county's municipalities must have their plans mapped out and approved by county officials Wake Forest officials expect their greenway to be completely mapped out by the end of October They don't plan to begin construction until further funding is applied for and received from the county The draft master plan of the project will be displayed Monday at 6:30 pm at the final "Open Greenways Community Forum" at Wake Forest Town Hall at 401 Elm St For more information on this project contact Chip Russell Wake Forest planning director at 554-6140 Soulful sounds from union of mother and daughters Millbrook High of her life "If our band breaks apart one day I'll find someone else to sing and play with" she said "But I hope we can stay together for a long time" Sandy said she'd like to see Mother Soul possibly step out of the bar scene and play at more events such as wedding receptions and corporate parties Both daughters understand that as part of a cover band there is only so far that they can go in the music industry But for right now they are perfectly content just being able to perform on stage with their mom Staff writer Scott Littlejohn can be reached at 8365710 or slittlejnewsobservercom 'farm something that can provide for them better financially But for now it's just a thrill to play with them on stage" Marqui and Jessica grew up in Toronto and realized early in life that they wanted to perform "The girls always had a ton of friends hanging around the house when they were little" Sandy said "They were always putting on talent shows and performing for family and friends" Jessica can remember as far back as her toddler years that she wanted to sing in a band one day She is working on a solo album of original songs aside from Mother Soul Her other sibling brother Justin 22 is
