The hall was attractive with floral decorations, and music was furnished by Bourdon's orchestra. Mis Kathryn Howland of Needham, a former pupil of our Woodstock school, was voted the prettiest girl and best student in her division of the graduating clas of the Needham Junior High School, on June 14. Miss Howland received col lege certifying marks in all her studies throughout the school year. She is the younger daughter of Mrs. Julia Howland.

Mrs. Ernest A. Spear and Mrs, Chas. E. MacDonald motored to New York last week.

Mrs. Spear spent five days with her daughter, Mrs. Grosvernor Dana, in Mount Vernon, and Mrs. MacDonald stayed in New York City with Dr. MacDonald, who had returned from his South Ameri can trip.

Dr. MacDonald is making one more trip before coming to Woodstock for the summer on July 4. The childrens playground activities on Vail Field under auspices of the Woodstock Improvement Society, will begin Monday, July 2, for the 1934 season. Maben Cameron, director of athletics in Mayville, N. has been engaged as supervisor.

The hours will be 9 to 12 daily, and children up to and including the fifth school grade are eligible. It is expected that the play activities will be somewhat broadened this season, and further announcement will be made thereof. About one hundred friend of Mr. and Mrs. Robert White gathered at the Orion Grange Hall, Friday evening to congratulate them on having bc-en married for 25 years. After the reception there was dancing and cards, and refreshments were served later. The Kedron Orchestra made their first appearance together, Saturday evening, at a dance in Grange Hall, to a large and enthusiastic crowd.
