David Witcof-ski, 690 Grant died a half hour after birth Wednesday at St. Joseph Hospital. The mother, to marriage, was Linda Moyer. Surviving in addition 'to her parents is a sister, Dianna, maternal grandmother, Mrs. Anna Moyer, this city, and paternal grandparents, Mr.

and Mrs. David Witcof-ski, West Hazleton. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Drums, at the convenience of the family. The Bonin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The schedule basically is the same as in past years, with the exception that Laurel Hill Terrace has been shifted from District 1 to District 2.

Palermo reminded all citizens to put out their garbage by midnight of the night before scheduled collection. Palermo also noted that the city has been experimenting with the use of plastic garbage bags and has found them to be acceptable for both the consumer and the collector. However, the commissioner told the consumers to be cautious about Tuesday District 2. all territory west of Wyoming Street and south of Diamond Avenue, plus Laurel Hill Terrace. Wednesday District 3.

all territory east of Wyoming Street and between Broad Street and Diamond Avenue, and all territory east of Carson Street and north of Diamond Avenue. Thursday District 4. all territory north of Diamond Avenue between Carson and Locust streets. Friday District 5, all territory north of Diamond Avenue and west of Locust Street. Starting Monday, garbage collections in the city will be made on a once-per-week schedule.

The funeral of Daniel Kaufman, 639 Emerald Court, who died Monday, was held yesterday morning from the Grebey, Beltz and Gleim Funeral Home. Private services were conducted by the Rev. W. William Kennard, pastor of Diamond United Methodist Church. Interment was in Mountain View Cemetery.

Tomascik Atty. Joseph G. Tomascik of 628 N. Franklin Wilkes-Barre, died Wednesday morning of a heart at tack in his study at 69 S. Washing ton Wilkes-Barre.

A state representative from 1960 to 1962, he served as a workmen's compensation referee from 1958 to 1960. He was also a special state deputy attorney general in 1956 and 1957; special assistant attor ney general, 1957 and 1958; assistant district attorney, 1961; and a delegate to the Pennsylvania Constitutional Convention, 1967-68. Atty. Tomascik was active in Ro tary, serving as governor of Dis trict 741. He also served as secretary and conference chairman of the district.

He was a member of the Wilkes-Barre Rotary Club and had served as a director, vice president and president. Surviving are four sisters, Anna, Marion and Margaret, all at home; and Helen, executive secretary to U.S. Congressman Daniel J. Flood, Washington, D.C.; and a brother, Matthew, Wilkes-Barre. The funeral will be held from the Morris Funeral Home, 625 N.

Main Wilkes-Barre at 9 a.m. Saturday, with a high mass of requiem in Sacred Heart Church at 9:30 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call 7-10 p.m.

MILLS Mrs. Mildred (Lee) Mills, and wife of Philip C. Mills, Main Street, Junedale, deputy registrar of vital statistics in Carbon County, died at 11:30 p. m. Wednesday at St.

Joseph Hospital where she. had been admitted five days ago. She was transferred to the local hospital from Hahnemann Hospital, Philadelphia. Born in Hazleton, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Carmella (Cappulopo) Lee. The deceased was a member of the Junedale United Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Lee Mills, in 1963. Surviving are her husband, Philip three children, Philip at home; Mrs. Wilford (Shirley) Bevans, this city; Paula Jean, at home; three grandchildren and these brothers and sisters: Joseph, Anthony and Nathan Lee, Mrs. Paul (Mary) Scarlotto and James Lee, this city; Paul, Overland Park, Kansas; and Mrs. Rodger (Catherine) McAfee, California City, Calif.

The funeral will be held Satur day at 2 p. m. from the Bachman and Rosenstock Funeral Home. The Rev. Benjamin Hess, pastor of Zion Evangelical Congregational Church, will conduct the services.

Interment will be in Citizens' Cemetery, Beaver Meadows. Friends may call this evening from 8 to 10 o'clock and Friday afternoon and evening. EDWARD C. STARK Edward C. Stark, 108 Dove Clearwater, died Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

at the Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater. Born in Freeland, he was a son of the late Henry and Sarah (Porter) Stark. A graduate of the Mining and Mechanical Institute, Freeland, he had been employed by General Electric, Philadelphia, before, his retirement. The deceased was a member of Arbutus Lodge, F. and A.M., Free-land.

Surviving are his wife, the for-' mer Elizabeth Saricks, and a sister, Mrs. Alfred (Mildred) Keirle, West Hazleton. The funeral will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. from the Krapf and Hughes Funeral Home. The Rev.

Born in New York City, a daugh ter of the late Michael and Marga ret (Kline) Cahill, she had resided in this city most of her life. The deceased was a retired em ploye of the Bell Telephone Co. She was a member of St. Gabriel's Church and the parish Altar and Rosary Society and the Bell Tele phone Pioneers. Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Blackledge became ill on IR 80, near Route 93 while driving toward Stroudsburg where he was to meet his son, Daniel, who was arriving home on leave from the Air Force. He was taken to the hospital in the West Hazleton Ambulance. Surviving are his wife, his father, four sons, one daughter, a brother, one sister and two granddaughters. JOHN J. PUGLIESE John J.

Pugliese, 506 Exeter West Pittston, retired claims adjuster for the Lackawanna Casualty who formerly worked in this area, died suddenly this morning at the Pittston Hospital. A resident of West Pittston for 47 years, he was active in civic and fraternal affairs and had served 10 years as a councilman in the community. He and his wife, the former Jennie Shard, Wilkes-Barre, would have celebrated their 50th wed ding anniversary June 20, 1971. Surviving in addition to his wife are four children, 15 grandchildren and a sister. The funeral will be held Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

He died on his 50th birthday anniversary. He was the son of Mrs. Patrick McCole and the late Richard Roth of Freeland. He had left Freeland about 17 years ago. He was employed as a male nurse.

Surviving are his step-father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick McCole, Freeland; a brother, Raymond Roth, Philadelphia; and sisters, Mrs. Joseph (May) Lynn, Freeland, and Mrs. Walter (Peggy) Beretzki, Washingtons Crossing.

Interment will be in Long Beach, Calif. CALVIN MOYER Calvin Moyer, 59, of 5317 Darin Philadelphia, died at 2:30 p.m. yesterday in the home of his son- in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Gabriel, Philadelphia.

Born in Ebervale on Feb. 21, 1911, he was a son of Eden and Josephine E. Estner Moyer, and spent most of his life in this city before locating in Philadelphia. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife, the former Anna Fisher, and the following children: Mrs. James (Hannah) Albanese, Raritan, N.J.; Calvin Moyer, Milford, Mrs. Michael (Dorothea) Gabriel, Philadelphia; Mrs. (Mary) Bush-er, Sonia, Mrs. Allen (Jo-han) Leifert, Mrs.

David (Linda) Witcofski, Joyce and Paul all of this city; 14 grandchildren, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Rollin (Johannah) Johnson, Camden, N.J., Eden, this city, Eugene, James and J. Alfred, all of McAdoo, George, Somerville, N. and Paul, Norwalk, Cal. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Eloise C. Snyder has been appointed an associate professor of sociology at The Pennsylvania State University. A native of Hazleton, Dr. Snyder began her teaching career at Southern Illinois University where she was an associate professor. In 1P67 she accepted a professorship at the University of South Carolina, and the following year became pro fessor of sociology at Columbia College, S.C.
