BRECHER Veteran pro-wrestling promoter Leah Maivia widow of "'High Chief" Peter Maivia and grandmother of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson died Sunday at her Davie home of a heart attack. She was 77. Johnson, a former wrestler who now acts, is the only child of Maivia's only child, daughter Ata Johnson. Through a spokesman, both said they were too upset to comment.

Maivia took over the Hawaii-based Polynesian Pacific Pro Wrestling after her husband died in 1982, becoming one of the industry's few female promoters.
