The Herald, Wednesday, May 25,1977 11 Southridge Awards Night held Over 100 Southridge students received awards Monday night at Southridge High annual Awards Night in the Southridge auditorium. Among the award winners were Lisa Blessinger. Jeffrey deMon- tigny, and Donna Roesner, Valedictorian Awards; Donald Prusz and Garalyn Gentry, DAR Award; Gregory Gunselman, YMI Award; Teri Hoffman, Betty Crocker Leader of Tomorrow and Outstanding Home Economics Senior; Lisa Beasley and Jean Rosenblatt, Editor Awards and Lisa Blessinger, National Merit Commendation Certificate. A number of seniors received scholarships including Teri Hoffman, PTA Scholarship and Delta Kappa Gamma Scholarship; Greg Gunselman, Jaycee Scholarship; Lisa Blessinger, Panhellenic Scholarship, and Indiana University Distinguished Scholarship; Garalyn Gentry, Indiana State University, Evansville Academic Scholarship; and Connie Jones, Oakland City College Academic Scholarship. Receiving State Scholarship Awards were: Lisa Blessinger, Jeffrey deMontigny, Michael Duncan, Gregory Gunselman, Teri Hoffman, Connie Jones, Thomas Leibering, Kimberly Nelson, Donald Prusz, Donna Roesner, Brenda Souders.

Also Gregory Gunselman, Kimberly Nelson, Donald Prusz and Cheryl Sternberg were awarded the Indiana State University, Terrre Haute Academic Scholarship. Two students received certificates from Indiana colleges: Thomas Leibering, Purdue University Certificate of Recognition and Jeffrey tigny, University of Evansville Certificate of Recognition. Leibering was also recognized for his perfect attendance in 13 years of school while Sharon Leibering was given notice for six perfect years. Lisa Schmutzler received the FHA Award and the following students FHA Certificates of Appreciations Lisa Blessinger, Michele Blume, Kay Buse, Garalyn Gentry, Connie Jones, Sharon Kaiser, Julia Sakel, Donna Thimling, and Joni Werremeyer. JHS class of '62 info, money due The reunion committee of the Jasper High School class of 1962 is reminding all class members to return the program sheets with their money to Paul Winkler, P.O.

Cemetery group's meeting May 30 The annual meeting of the Birdseye Cemetery Association for officers, directors and donors will be held at the cemetery on Mon day, May 30, at 30 p.m. The officers of the association are Robert Borden, president; Grace Borden, vice president; Luther Craig, treasurer, and Norma Jackson, secretary. Directors are Harry Stroud, Merle Berg, Louise Roll and Rudy Jackson.

Receiving Yearbook Certificates were Dale Altstadt, Lisa Beasley, Belinda Cook, Dedri Dittmer, Jane Harris, Sandy Henke, Nyana Messmer, Brenda Meyer, Marcia Meyerholtz, Mary Mundy, Christi O'Brien, Julie Olinger, Jean Rosenblatt, Debra Rummel, Kim Scales, Sheryl Scales, Cathy Sternberg, Mark Bilderback, Mark Petersen and David Seidl. Senior Yearbook Charms were awarded to Lisa Blessinger, Garalyn Gentry, Kimberly Page, Donna Roesner, Brenda Souders, Cheryl Sternberg, James Welp and Joni Werremeyer. The following students won Student Council Awards: Lisa Ahrens, Michael Englert, Bryan Meyerholtz, Diane Miller, Lisa Schmutzler, Jill Morgan, Jay Nelson, Debra Schipp, Denise Wehr, Peter Mather, Jeffrey Mathias, Pamela Julie Olinger, Jean Rosenblatt, Belinda Cook, Christine Gasser, Suzanne Luker, Scott Scales. Honor Roll Certificate for the 1976-77 school year were given to the following seniors: Lisa Blessinger and Donna Roesner, all Jeffrey deMontigny, Deborah Gentry, Garalyn Gentry, Gregory Gunselman, Teri Hoffman, Tonnie Kahle, Sharon Leibering, Thomas Leibering, Kimberly Nelson and Donna Thimling. Juniors receiving the Honor Roll Certificate included: Dale Altstadt, Ronald Betz, Pam Coomer, Gaela Meyer and Julie Olinger, all Michael Bauer, Lisa Beasley, Beth Benning, Tonia Borden, Robert Dearing, Cynthia Durcholz, Suzanne Ellsworth, Greg Frick, Melinda Frick James Harris, Jane Harris.

Don Prusz, left, and Garalyn Gentry received the outstanding boy and girl awards at Southridge High School Awards Night Monday. The Huntingburg American Legion named Prusz the outstanding senior boy and the Huntingburg Business Women named Miss Gentry the outstanding senior girl. Prusz is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
