4-THE HERALD, Provo, Utah, Wednesday, November 27, Obituaries Mary B. Nelson AMERICAN PORK Mary Dorothy Blackett Nelson, 65, of 520 W. 130 American Fork, died of cancer Tuesday at her home. She was born April 11, 1909 in Springville to Frank H. and Lillian G.

Bocker Blackett. She married Charles W. Nelson on Oct. 24, 1927 in Provo. A member of the LDS Church, Mrs.

Nelson had taught Primary in the American Fork Seventh Ward. She had been a supervisor for Swimwear Manufacturing Co. of California. Survivors include her husband, two sons and two daughters, Charles R. Nelson, Placentia, Duke W.

Neison and Mrs. Blaine (Helen) Richan, both of American Fork, and Mrs. Lee (Gayle) Weyland, Garden Grove, her mother, Linwood, one brother and one sister, Lewis Blackett, Linwood, and Mrs. Harold (Jane) Tousley, Grand Junction, Colo. Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m.

Ray Jensen GENOLA Funeral services for Delbert Dee Ray Jensen, 47, of Genola, who died in a motorcycle automobile accident Tuesday morning near his home. will be Friday at1 p.m.

Thomas, Friends may call at Holladay Hills Funeral Home in Santaquin Thursday from 7 to 9p.m. and Friday at the chapel in Genola prior to services. Mr. Jensen was born March 27, 1927 in Goshen to Delbert Andrew and Winona Finch. Jensen. He married Vivian Lorraine Rasmussen on Nov. 6.

1954 in Orem, and the marriage was solemnized later in the Salt Lake LOS Temple. Mr. Jensen was a night watchman at Keigley Quarry for U.S. Steel. He was returning home from work when tine accident occurred.

Hie also operated a farm in Genola. Mr. Jensen was a veterans of World War IT. He was active in the LDS Church, serving in the elders quorum presidency and 1 counselor in Canola Ward Bishopric. Survivors include his widow, two sons and five daughters, Dennis Dee Ray Jensen, Tooele; Guy Dee Jensen, Green River, DeAnn Jensen, Orem: Mrs.

Tim (Jannette) Haveron, Norma and Terri Lynn Jensen. all of Genola, and Mrs. Vickie Constable, Santa Ana, five grandchildren; his parents, Genola; two sisters, Mrs. Alan (Janet) Carter, Genola, and Mrs. Ray (Debra) Darling, Green River, Wyo.

Shanna L. Roe SALT LAKE CITY Graveside services will be Friday 11 a.m. at Mountain View Cemetery for Shanna L. Roe, infant daughter of John L. and JoAnn Farrer Roe, Murray, who died Tuesday in a Salt Lake City hospital of infant death syndrome.

Her grandparents live in Provo. She was born Aug. 15, 1974 in Murray She is survived by her parents, two brothersvand two sisters, D. Shane Roe, Patrick K. Roe, Mikkel A.

Roe and Taryn Roe, all of Murray: grandparents, Mr. and John L. Roe and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph E.

Farrer, all of Provo. William M. Hall SALT LAKE CITY William M. Hall, 90, Salt Lake City, died of a heart attack Tuesday. He was the father of Howard Hall, Richard Hall and Mrs.

State, Provo Grover Giles, Ex-Attorney General, Dies SALT LAKE CITY (UPD) Funeral services are pending for former Utah Attorney General Grover A. Giles.

Giles died Tuesday at his horne. He was 82. First appointed an assistant attorney general in 1933, Giles served two terms as Altorney General. 1941- 1949. He was elected Salt Lake County Attorney in 1966 and served for eight years, Giles began his law career while still a student at the University of Utah Law School when he was elected Millard County Attorney.

He was re-elected twice. An active member of the Democratic Party, he was an unsuccessful candidate for governor in 1948. Giles is survived by his wife Mabel, two daughters. George H. Hickman SUNSET, Davis County George H.

Hickman, 83, of 1523 N. 125 Sunset, died of causes incident to age Monday. A native of Provo, he was born Jan. 12, 1801 to George Henry and Emma Homer Hickman. He married Eva Harding on Oct.

6, 1914 in Provo, and she died July 10, 1968. He married Maudie Halliday in March, 1969. Mr. Hickman was an electrician. He received his education in Provo City schools.

For live years he worked for William Dixon Electric and then was employed by Utah Power and Light Co. until retiring in 1965. He had lived in the Provo area until 1973 when he moved to Sunset. He was an elder in the LDS Church. Survivors include his widow and one son, Robert G.

Hickman, Sunset; three grandchildren, and one brother, Albert H. Hickman, Los Angeles. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Berg Mortuary Chapel, Provo, where friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday prior to services.

Burial will be in Provo City Cemetery. Orson R. Mecham SALT LAKE CITY Funeral services for Orson Roland Mecham, 69, of 643 S. 400 Salt Lake City, who died after a long illness Monday in a Salt Lake City hospital, wil be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Deseret.

Mortuary, 36 E. 700 S. Mr. Mecham was born in Wallsburg on May 5, 1905. He married Josie Lucero Gutierrez in Salt Lake City on April 16, 1963.

He had been a carpenter until retiring. Survivors include his widow and two sons, Jerry Mecham and Bob Mecham, both of Salt Lake City; four stepsons and two stepdaughters, Joey, Armando, John and Tony Gutierrez, Mrs. Edna Sanchez and Mrs. Charlotte Langton, all of Salt Lake City, and 12 grandchildren. Friends may call at the mortuary Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.

and Saturday prior to services. Burial will be in Elysian Burial Bardens. Agnes Rohback Private funeral services were held today for Agnes B. Rohbock, 74, Orem, who died Monday at her home, 376 N. 800 E.

Mrs. Rohbock's survivors include a son, Frank Rohbock, Orem, and two grandchildren and two sisters. Nebo District OK's Driver's Ed Fee By LYNN TILTON in an abbreviated session Tuesday, the Nebo School Board approved a policy to levy a driver education fee for all students who will do behind the wheel work after Jan. 1, 1 1975. In other business, the board discussed insurance, the Utah Valley Hospital fund drive request, set a rental fee on Utah Valley Repertory Company's use of the Spanish Fork High School Auditorium and discussed arrangements for a national school boards convention to be held in April at Miami Beach, Fla.

Because i it was discovered that some drivers would be exempt from the fee if based on a Jan. 1 birthday, the school board felt it would be more equitable to require all students doing road work after Jan. 1 to pay a driver's fee to help meet the increased cost of driver education classes. The fee has not been set, but officials said it would not exceed $10. The amount of the fee would Mildred Houston SPANISH FORK Mildred Cassity Houston, 65, Spanish Fork, died of a heart condition Tuesday in the Payson Hospital.

She was born March 6, 1909 in Provo to Lawrence and Madge Thatcher Cassity, She married Joseph Eugene Houston on Jan. 30, 1934 in Heber City, and the marriage was solemnized later in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Dec. 28, 1970. Mrs.

Houston was active in the Relief Society in the LDS Church and was a member of the DUP. Survivors include two sons and two daughters, Joseph C. Houston and Mrs. Randy (Rosemary) Pendley, both of Spanish Fork; Lawrence Houston, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Don (Helen), Potter, Barstow.

14 grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters, J. T. Cassity and Thomas Cassity, both of Ogden; Mrs. Hazel Peterson, Brigham City, and Mrs. Gayle Lee, Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Walker Mortuary, Spanish Fork, where friends may call Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday prior to services. Hospital funds The board agreed to let school principals determine for themselves the amount of involvement their students will have with the Utah Valley Hospital fund drive. This decision was reached because of the geographical variations of the schools in the district as 1 well as church commitments to the drive in some communities. Mr. Garn told the children to be thankful they are lucky enough to be born in America and especially in Utah. He stated that to keep our freedom we should be willing to he involved in government. "Although you are not old enough to become involved, you can remind your parents to vote," he said. In the last election only one in three voted across the country.

Mr. Garn stated that his ancestry reaches back to the youngest brother of George Washington Charles Washington thus it is Cordova Voted To Governor's Spanish Board Ed Cordova, Provo, president of the local chapter of LaRaza. was elected Utah County's representative to the Governor's Policy Advisory Council on Spanish Speaking Affairs, at a town meeting held at the Utah County Building. The advisory council was created in 1973 by Gov. Calvin L.

Rampton so his office could be aware of grievances and complaints, and so the Spanish speaking community could make recommendations concerning state and federal agency programs.
