No wedding date has been set. Angel Cake Excellent Packing By Heloise Dear Heloise: I hope this will help other people who want to mail cookies to servicemen: Make an angel food cake and cut it In layers. Then pack (that have been wr ap ed in plastic wrap) between the layers, after the box had been lined in foil. I used this method and my son said the cookies arrived overseas in excellent condition. He said, "We even ate the packing!" Rose S.

You are an ANGEL, just like your cake, for sharing this super-terrific hint with all of us, and I'm sure our loved ones in the service will add a "bless you, Rose" to our thanks .1 know. I am a military wife and mother, and our only son is on his way to Viet Nam. Now, all you mothers with sons or daughters in the service, get busy and send them their favorite goodies this very week they are our loves, you know. Another good hint to enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope inside each letter. Be surprised how quickly you will get an answer back! Saves them the trouble of trying to "borrow" a stamp or because men just don't seem to keep those things in stock.

Heloise LETTER OF LAUGHTER Dbar Heloise: I found what to do with all the time you've been saving us gals. I went back to work full time. Mrs. Jeanne Miller Dear Heloise: When the family wants French toast for breakfast, and the bread is too fresh, just put it in the toaster for a short time (do not brown). Then cool the bread and make your French toast with the slightly dried-out bread.

I tried this, and my husband said it was the best I had ever made. Kottmans to Observe Golden Day BLLSWORTH-A 2 to 5 pm open house will be held July 17, at St. Paul's school in observance of the 50th wedding anni- Mr. and Mrs. James G.

Wrong School In the story Friday about the engagement of Kent Graham Worley and Ruth Anne Heetderks, it was erroneously reported that Mr. Worley is a graduate of the University of Kansas. He graduated from Kansas State university, Manhattan, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. You will be happily surprised. Classified Ads sell old things.

Dear For summer travel with children, I use a piece of masonite (of. a convenient size) to place on their laps when the children want to use or color. I sure would appreciate any ideas for those day-after-day trips in the car with children. M.S. Gals: If you have any good ideas for amusing children while traveling, please write to HELOISE.

Letters do not have to be signed. Heloise Dear Heloise: The pretty knit headbands make lovely bands for straw hats. The bands come in all colors. Just slide the band down over the crown of the hat that's all. BETSY Dear Heloise: My little girl had outgrown her i-piece bathing suit, and had been asking for a 2-piece one, since they are in fashion.

I cut her 1-piece suit in half crossways, made a one-incfvhem on the cut edge of the top and bottom and inserted elastic. Then came the fun of decorating. Use either bias tape to make bows, or use buttons or lace. You would be surprised at the smile on her face, because she now has a bikini! D. Hofmann Letters to Heloise should be sent to her in care of King Syndicate.
