CKn»t« TO 11 ^^ Board of Supervisors Office, Carroll, Iowa Monday, May 6, 1974 The Board of Supervisors of Carroll County, Iowa met In Special Session at the Board Office at Carroll, Iowa the county seat of said County on Monday, May 6, 1974 at 9:00 a.m. Central Daylight Savings Time pursuant to law, the rules of said Board and to adjournment with all members present. The Board of Supervisors proceeded to canvass the results of the Carroll Cable Company Franchise Election, and the results were as follows: Yes—705 No—-307. The results of this election is on file In the office of the County Auditor. On motion the Board of Supervisors approved the monthly report of Public Health Nurse Doris Walkup. This report is on file in the office of the County Auditor. The Board of Supervisors signed an agreement with the City of Carroll for the placement of a siren on the roof of the courthouse and the resurfacing of the sidewalks around the courthouse. A motion was made by Jack Thein and seconded by Walter Koster for the chairman to sign the agreement of placing the siren on the Courthouse. All voted aye with the exception of Orel Thomas, who abstained from voting. A motion was made by Orel Thomas and seconded by Walter Koster to have the chairman sign the agreement for resurfacing the sidewalks around the Courthouse. All voted aye. A motion was made by Walter Koster and seconded by Lewis Rich that the Board of Supervisors approve the continuation of the participation in the Southwest Iowa Crime Commission program for the next year. All voted aye. On motion the Board of Supervisors approved the following claims and authorized the County Auditor to issue warrants for same: SECONDARY ROAD FUND Lee Corporation, Bridge Projects 11390.12 Breda Auto Co., New Equipment 1974 Ford Van 3339.00 On motion the Board of Supervisors adjourned until Monday, May 13, 1974. On motion the Board of Supervisors passed resolutions regarding the destruction of Weeds in the County. These notices are to be published in the four official newspapers in the County. On motion the Board of Supervisors approved the appointment of Roger W. O'Tool as Chief Deputy Sheriff effective May 15,1974. On motion the Board of Supervisors approved the following: Application for a Cigarette Permit for James Schrad & Erwin Haberl dba The Handle Bar; application for Business License for James Schrad and Erwin Haberl dba The Handle Bar and the application for Class C Beer Liquor License for James Schrad and Erwin Haberl dba The Handle Bar. Action was taken by a motion made by Walter Koster and seconded by Lewis Rich to inquire with William Polking to assist the Co.
