14-5 loss to the Knoxville Smokies on Saturday night Jordan is batting 205 (413-for234) with 36 singles 10 doubles one triple 26 RBIs 21 walks 62 strikeouts 15 stolen bases in 25 attempts one assist and seven errors Bobby Smith made the score 4-2 with an RBI in single in the sixth but Rippelmeyer's error led to Wilmington's run in the seventh Juan Williams led off the bottom of the inning with the gullsIMM115 learning experience Either way the mistakes that have hounded the Bulls through a disappointing first half of the Carolina League season came back to hurt them again Saturday night against the Wilmington Blue Rocks Durham matched first-place Wilmington with four home runs but the Bulls' three errors two wild pitches two hit batsmen and two passed balls paved the way for a 9-5 Blue Rocks win The loss ensures Durham (27-40) of finishing with the worst record in the Carolina League for the season's first half which ends today Durham has committed 93 errors and thrown 54 wild pitches this season Bulls opponents have now hit 97 home runs Nevertheless while the Blue Rocks (48-19) have easily the best record in the league Durham had posted a respectable 3-5 mark against them
