FranVen Grey-Friedmann Candlelight Rites Read In Asistencia Mission Chape Lois Jlarie Friedmann and Howard Jack Grey chose the Asistencia Mission chapel for their wedding, tlie nuptials solemnized at 7 o'clock on the evening o£ April 4 by Rev. John D. Foerster, pastor of the First Evangelical Lutheran church of Bedlands. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Arlene L. Friedmann, 11438 Loma Vista drive, Loma Linda, and Maurice E. Friedmann of Upland. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Iva F. Grey of Monterey and John Grey of Long Beach. The bride's father gave her in marriage. She wore a street length dress of embossed cotton, a small white hat with veil and carried an arrangement of gardenias. Mrs. RusseU K. DiU (Paula Farmer) of Bedlands was matron of honor wearing a blue sheath and carrying pink carnations. Best man was John Etche goyen, brother of the bride groom. While a brother of the bride, Maurice E. Friedmann Jr., ushered. White carnations, chrysanthemums and stock decorated tlK chapel for the candleh'ght cere mony attended by members of the familes only. Mrs. Fried mann wore a rose knit en semble with matching hat and accessories and Mrs. Grey wore a green knit costume with black accessories. The wedding reception was at Skinner's Restaurant in San Bernardino. The newlyweds will live in Monterey. Both have been employed for the past three years in Anchorage, he as a geologist and she with the department of Adult and Youth Authority. The bride is a graduate of Bedlands High school and the University of Bedlands. The bridegroom is an alumnus of Fresno State College. RITA E. HERZ LUTHERAN WOMEN TO SEE HOSPITAL SHIP FILM Women of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church will meet Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the church when Dr.-C. T. Halburg will show his color-sound film of the hospital ship "Hope". Dr. Halburg is head of Project Hope for this area. Members and guests are inwted to the meeting for which hostesses will be Mmes. Delos Hartwig, Stalla Dundas and Saul Eisenberg. Mrs. Ed Iverson will give the devotions and Mrs. Balph Roberts, education chairman, will introduce Dr. Halburg, Violette-Herz August Wedding Plans Revealed Jlr. and Jlrs. Joseph H. Herz, 649 Los Altos drive, announce the engagement of then: daugh ter, Rita E., to Eussell R, Violette, son of Mr. and Mrs, Joseph S. Violette of Van Buren, Maine. Rita graduated from Red lands High school in 1958 and attended Chaffey College. She is currently employed by a San Bernardino orthodontist. Russel graduated from Van Buren High school, served with the U.S. Air Force and attended [Riverside City College. He is now employed by the Smith Scott Company of Riverside in customer relations.
