anti-Communist comedy Red Cross Praised By Korea Returnee Kinston March 11 Marine lt-t Lt William Harvey of Kinston back from active duty Korea and stationed at Camp Lejeune said today that the American Red Cross is doing "an excellent job for our service men in Korea" He spoke from personal experience at hospitals where he was stationed prior to being evacuated to the States for treatment of a recurrent spinal ailment which is now improving he said today Lt Harvey a States-side veteran of World War II was recalled to active duty with the Marines last November After brief training he was shipped to Korea where he arrived in January The weather was extremely cold all during his stay there Harvey stated He was attached to the 5th Regiment of the 1st Marine Division which was assigned to ferret out guerrillas and infiltrated Red Koreans in the east coast area of Southern Korea He went on several patrols but did not reach the front lines where fighting was heaviest he stated It was on one of these patrols that he stopped for a check-up and received orders to evacuate He was sent to a "front line" hospital where he found the Red Cross representatives active in
