Clubs Met Tuesday for Card Games The HIGH BIDDERS were entertained by Mrs. James Wieland at a 12:30 luncheon and bridge party at Tony's Restaurant. A guest other than members was Mary Millenacker of San Diego, Calif., who received high score prize. Other winners were Mrs. Felix Langenfeld. Mrs. Frank Liewer and Mrs. Marvin Collison, who will be hostess next on July 2. Bridge was played at the afternoon party of the PLA-MOR Club at Mr. E. H. Rosenbaum's home. High score prize went to Mrs. 0. H. Juergens and second, Mrs. Carl Hess. This was the last meeting until fall. Mrs. Arnold Ludwig was hostess for the afternoon bridge meeting of the GOLDEN CIRCLE Club at the clubrooms. Mrs. Ernestine Sanders, Mrs. Winifred Conley and Mrs. Aurora Mungon received score prizes. Hostess next week will be Mrs. Sanders. Times Herald, Carroll, la. Wednesday, June 19, 1974 Another group meeting in the afternoon was the COMMUNITY Club, at Mrs. Louis Bueltel's home. Pinochle prizes were won by the hostess, high; Mrs. William J. Kanne, second; Mrs. Frank Thielen, traveling; and Mrs. Ed Lenz, tally. The next party will be at the home of Mrs. B. L. Baumhover, July 2. Mrs. William Arts Jr. was an evening hostess, entertaining the GAY NINE T'S Club at her home. High score prize was awarded to Mrs. Larry Long; second, Mrs. Frank Comes; and low, the hostess. On July 16 the club will meet with Mrs. Comes. The H.N.H. CLUB's last party of the season was held at Arcadia, at the home of Mrs. Donald Diers. Mrs. Clair Schmitz received high score prize; the hostess kept second and Mrs. Edward Murphy, third. Mrs. Murphy and Mrs. Donald Schechinger were additional guests. To Wed ... Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hoffman of Carroll announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter Maxine to Charles Potter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Allan Potter of Griswold. The couple plans an Oct. 19 wedding at Holy Spirit Church in Carroll. Miss Hoffman is a clerical accountant for United of Omaha and her fiance, a Medicare auditor for Mutual of Omaha in Omaha. New Officers Are Elected By Auxiliary Maurice Dunn Unit No. 7, American Legion Auxiliary, elected officers and board members at its monthly meeting Tuesday night at the Legion hall. Heading the slate as president is Mrs. Charles Harms, who will succeed Mrs. John Beyerink Jr. Other officers elected following the nominating committee's report were Mrs. Vincent Stangl, first vice president; Mrs. Ralph Hoffmann, second vice president; Mrs. Dale Bernholtz, secretary; Mrs. Mary Johannsen, treasurer; Mrs. Louis Jenson, historian; Mrs. Barry Jensen, chaplain; and Mrs. Arnold Witt, sergeant-at-arms. Elected as new board members were Mrs. Ralph McCord, Mrs. LuVern Olberding, Mrs. Mary Onken and Mrs. Beyerink. Mrs. William Frank and Mrs. A. C. Reinowski are holdover board members. A report on her week as the unit's representative at Girls State in Cedar Falls was presented by Vicki Bernholtz. Grandparents Host Children AUBURN-Ward Bean, son, Jeff and daughter, Kim of Council Bluffs and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Eccles and sons of Ogden were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Bean. Jeff and Kim remained for a longer visit with their grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. George Wernimont attended a dinner at Bovs Town, Neb., Friday evening given in honor of Patrick J.
