4 IRVING DAILY NEWS Friday, May 1, 1970 Bible and soulwinning conference May 4-5 Royal Amhmsadors A Royal Ambassador recognition service was held in First Baptist Church to honor boys who had passed ranks in their chapters. Receiving pins were front (LR) Phil Armstrong, Russ Carpaza, Robert Roenfeldt, Dale Grisham, Jimmy Patterson, Gil Hudson and Joy Benton, each accompanied by a parent. Royal Ambassadors is an organization in the church for school age boys. They learn about missions and doing missions, but they also learn camping and sporting skills. Divinity master degree earned Paul Herbert Lewis, pastor of Westwood Park Baptist Church, will receive the master of divinity degree during commencement exercises at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary May 8 at 9:30 a.m.

The oratorio, The Holy City by A. R. Gaul, will be presented by the Adult Choir of Plymouth Park Baptist Qiurch, Sunday at 7 p.m. in the church auditorium at 1714 N. Story Road.

The soloists for this work are Sharon Fleming, Susan Alcorn, Audrey Chartier, Judy Hall, Peggy Capps, Rosella Sweely, Mary McLemore, Kenneth McDonald, Joe Williams, Les Neilson, Kenneth Long and James Humphreys. Accompaniment will be provided by Sandra Davidson, organist, and Patricia Keithly, pianist. Neil Davidson will be the director. Baptist income VALLEY FORGE, Pa. (UPI) Income of tlw basic American Baptist Convention Budget for the 12 months of 1969 totaled $11.876,231, or 89.1 per cent of the goal.

While this was a decrease of $226,463 from the income received for 1968, the loss in revenue was not as much as had been expected, according to the Rev. Ralph R. Rott, executive director of the Division of World Mission Support. The Balinese fear the sea encircling their Pacific island. Dr.

Roberson, pastor of the Highland Park Baptist Church in Chattanooga, is president of Tennesee Temple Schools. The school, with combined enrollment in excess of 2,000 students, consists of a grammar school, a Bible school, a liberal arts college and a Bible seminary. The church Dr. Roberson serves has the second largest Sunday School in America. In addition to its size it has a varied ministry including the support of 206 foreign missionaries, 43 chapels, the Union Gospel Mission, a large radio station, Gospel Dynamite, a daily broadcast now in its 27th year.

Camp Joy, where 2,500 boys and girls go free of charge each summer, and a paper mailed every two weeks into 27,000 homes. Rev. Church is pastor of Western Hills Baptist Church, Lubbock, and is a talented musician. The music will be one of the highlights of the conference. The program schedule includes Monday, 6:30 p.m.

to 7: 20, clinic; 7:30 p.m. to 9, service; Tuesday, 10 a.m., service; 11 a.m., clinic; and Tuesday night, 6:30 p.m. to 7:20, clinic; and 7:30 p.m. to 9, service. Rev.

Coffee home opening The sign of the fish goes up at the Ikthua Inn Coffee House at Second and Jefferson streets as high school students gathered Thursday for the grand opening held Friday evening. The Psalrmmen Tommy Foster, Jim Williams, Billy Smithers, and Paul Fields, The Psalmsmen, will be featured at the Indoor Camp Meeting Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Union Bower Assembly of God, 1306 N. Union Bower Rd. Several other singing groups will be heard at the singing.
