Stove Healey of Godfrey, he told of the death and apparent suicide last October of Wilbert Peterson, a former North Alion resident. The Petersons lived north of Delmar about 10 years ago. The young man had left home and when he failed to return at a reasonable time, a search was made for him, which resulted in finding his body across the grave of his mother, in Mt. Hope Cemetery, San Diego, Calif. Mrs.

Peterson died about a year ago. Peterson had been in ill health for months and had spent some time at a tuberculosis sanatarium in Arizona. He later went to California, but had failed to. rally as was expected. Besides his father, Wilbert's immediate survivors 'are two sisters, Lila, who lives in Chicago, and Ruth.

The mothers will then begin to visit each home with a porch light on, and the march is expected to end at 7 o'clock. The chairman said some Ta mothers have signified they will participate in the march so far, and other volunteers are wetcome. Those interested may contact Miss Jerrells or any of the area captains.

The march last year raised $1.030.98, and 86 mothers participated. Miss Jerrells urged that each home contribute generously, be. cause money is needed more than ever this year, In addition to the regular patient care and research and education programs, she said, the foundation this year is spending much money on the development and testing of a new vaccine to vent polio. Urged To Support Movement "While the new vaccine vertainly is good news," she "It places a responsibility on all of us to redouble our etforts in support of this voluntary movement." Miss Jerrells said the march, which has become a national feature climaxing the March ol Dimes, is the one single contributions of women toward the fund raising campaign. Louden, 437 North Fifth St. Furl Oil Catches Fire WOOD -Firemen were called to extinguish a blaze Friday night at 9 o'clock when a small amount of fuel oil on the highway at Wood River avenue and Edwardsville road was reported in flames. Firemen said the oil was probably spilled from some passing transport truck. Sand was used to extinguish the blaze. A sister-In-law, Mrs.
