City, Name, Age Died Arrangements OBITUARY INDEX CARY Helene Buchanan Moch- rie, 88, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grand- mother passed on to a peaceful home to be with God on June 24, 2016, after several months of declining health. Helene was born in Milford, CT on July 26, 1927.

She at- tended Milford High School, graduating as an honor student in 1945. Helene graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1949, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. In 1950, Helene married Richard (Dick) Mochrie. They moved to North Carolina and resided in Cary for 62 years. They were charter members of Cary Presbyterian Church and later active members of the Kirk of Kildaire Presbyterian Church.

Helene was a fulltime home- maker who contributed to the community, serving for many years as a librarian at the Cary Public Library, an election of- at the local polling site, and a Girl Scout Leader. Fam- ily and friends remember her for her feisty spirit and humor; her talents for sewing, knitting and playing the keyboard; and for the many beautiful quilts and delicious birthday and wedding cakes she lovingly created. Helene is predeceased by her parents, Harry H. and Maude G. Buchanan, her brother Howard M.

Buchanan, and sister Doro- thy Buchanan Lucas. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Richard D. Mochrie of Cary, NC; chil- dren Barbara Mochrie Wash- er (Steven) of Windsor, CT, Steven H. Mo- chrie (Jane) and Lois Mochrie Blair of Cary, NC. Helene is also survived by her grandchil- dren Bryna Washer Kearney, Naomi Washer, Kirk Mochrie (Veronica), Tara Mochrie, Ra- chel Blair Blackmon (Albert), and Nelson Blair (Erin); and great-grandchild Albert Black- mon III.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Kirk of Kildaire Presbyterian Church, 200 High Meadow Drive, Cary, NC followed by a reception in the Fellowship Hall with time to greet the family. David Mitchell Snider, age 70, passed away on June 25, 2016, after battling an extended ill- ness. David was born in Louis- ville, KY on Au- gust 15, 1945 to the late Clifton Thomas Snider and his wife Margaret Jo Mitchell Snider. He was raised in Munford- ville, KY and graduated from Munfordville High School in 1963. Mr. Snider attended the University of Kentucky and attained a Degree in Commerce in 1967 and a Degree in Business Administration in 1973.

Dur- ing his time at the Univer- sity of Kentucky, David was a member of the Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity. While at UK, Da- vid met the love of his life and future wife, Catherine Allison. David and Cathy were married on Nov. 18, 1967, at Second Presbyterian Church Lexington, KY. From 1969 to 1972, David served in the United States Navy.

He was stationed in Newport, RI, Charleston, SC and Naples, Italy. In 1973 David and Cathy moved to Durham, NC where he was employed by GTE. In 1980, David joined Nortel Net- works where he was employed for 25 years. He retired from Nortel in 2005. David was a 41 year member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Durham.

He served as an Elder, Deacon, Superin- tendent of Sunday School and chairman of numerous com- mittees. David was a loving, devoted husband, father, and grandfa- ther. He loved people and was known for his great sense of humor. David was pre-deceased by his parents and parents-in- law, Richard and Clara Alli- son of Lexington, KY. David is survived by his wife of 48 years, Catherine (Cathy) Alli- son Snider; his daughter Alli- son Snider Gray, and Robert Douglas Gray of Los Ange- les, CA; his son David Mitchell Snider, and Mary Elizabeth Phillips of Ra- leigh, NC; and his six beautiful grandchildren; Ella Douglas Gray and Sienna Mitchell Gray of Los Angeles; Amelia Eliza- beth Snider, William Hunley Snider, Nicholas Halston Snid- er, and Julian Phillips Snider, all of Raleigh, NC.

He is also survived by his step-mother, Nancy Snider, of Munfordville, KY; Two sisters-in-law, The Reverend Peggy Allison Mc- Clure of Huntsville, AL; Betty Allison Cliff and husband Guy Cliff, of England; Three nephews, Dr. Steven Werdehoff of Huntsville, AL; Richard Guy Cliff and wife Lani of Los Altos, CA; Chris- topher Steven Cliff and wife Fredricka, of Dubai. A Celebration of Life-Me- morial Service will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church on July 9, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. Donations can be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, 3639 Old Chapel Hill Road, Durham, NC 27707. In- terment will be in the Lexing- ton Cemetery of Lexington, KY.

David Mitchell Snider, Sr. HOLLY SPRINGS Amy Leigh Thompson Redeyoff, 28, of Mt.

Pleasant, SC, formerly of Holly Springs, NC, entered her eternal home June 30, 2016. Born February 1, 1988 to par- ents, Coy Lee Thompson, Jr. and Donna Cur- rin Thompson. Amy changed the lives of all that knew and loved her. A void will forever be with those that had her in their lives.

Her beloved husband, David Redeyoff, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, was soul mate. They enjoyed their life together with Lola, their yellow lab. Her parents, Donna and Lee Thompson and brother, Adam, of Holly Springs, will forever be thankful for having Amy in their lives. Also surviving are grandparents, Coy Lee Thompson, Sr.

and Shirley Morton Thompson; her Papa and NamNam; parents in law, Len and Christi Redeyoff of Collegeville, PA; grandmother in law, Nancy Miller; her Re- deyoff brother and sisters, Brendan, Brooke, Devin and husband, Aaron; and niece Elle. cousins, aunts and uncles were very special to her and they loved her like a sis- ter and daughter. Beach trips and holidays will never be the same. Amy was predeceased by her much loved grandparents, Jerry and Peggy Kesler Currin of Fuquay-Varina. Amy had so much passion for life and she was determined to live life to the fullest.

She loved working on her house and garden with Dave, cooking with her Moth- er, talking to her Dad on the phone, laugh- ing with Adam, walking Lola on the beach, spending time with her friends and being with family. She was active in the Junior League of Charleston and enjoyed be- ing an assistant softball coach for Mt. Pleasant Recreation League. She was a fun loving, caring, outgoing person who never met a stranger, loved her fam- ily more than anything, told you exactly what she thought, whether in words or looks. The world will be a little more dull without energy.

We praise the Lord for the time she spent with us. Graveside service will be held Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Fuquay-Varina at 11:00. Family will receive friends after the service. A memorial celebration will be held in Mt. Pleasant, SC at a later date.

He was born March 26, 1934 in John- ston County to the late Dewey Barnes and Vera Hocutt Whita- ker Barnes. He retired as the Director for the State Board of Opticians.

Wil- lard was a dedi- cated husband, father, grandfather and took very good care of his wife, Sar- ah. He was a member of Five Points Community Church where he served on various committees. His church and his family and friends will dearly miss his presence. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, July 3, 2016 at L. She was a farmer. She worked very hard to support her seven children while her husband was in prison for 10 years. In 1996, she and her husband came to the United States to have a different experience of life. In 2014, she had a serious stroke and was hospitalized for two years. Her life on June 29 at Our fami- lies and friends will miss her.
