of His Life He paused frequently to Jot down notes on a pad. At one point, he greeted a 5-year-old boy whose face was smeared with pizza sauce. "How are you?" asked the governor-elect. The lad Billy Erbe, just gurgled. "We expect great tilings from you, governor," said Billy's father, William Erbe, a food management executive from Lebanon.

"We'll, there is lots of work to do," Shapp said, looking quite serious. Eating a baked potato from a paper plate, Shapp commented: "The problem with city people is that they just see vegetables or meat on the grocery shelf and they have no idea what it takes to get it there." He said his battle to reform the Milk Marketing Board would re ceive top priority in his farm program, and claimed the original purpose of the board had been "perverted." Shapp said he knew some thing about farming from his work for the U.S. Commerce Department during the Kennedy Adminstration when he wrote papers on rural development. Buy Log Cabin Inn Property For $47,000 Richard L. and Margaret E.

Fow ler of Butler Township, former owners of the Log Cabin Inn, located at Rumbles Corners, have sold the establishment plus a residential building and 11.63 acres of land on which they are situated for $47,000. Buyers were Morris Sadofsky and William A. Sheman of Hazleton, according to papers filed in the office of Frank Castellino, Luzerne County Recorder of Deeds. Sadofsky, owner of the Con struction Co. of Hazleton, told the Standard-Speaker last night that he and his partner plan to develop the area into an extensive winter sporting area.

He said the six-acre lake located on the grounds will be open for ice skating next week in the first step toward creating what he described as a badly needed winter recreation area in the immediate area. Sadofsky said he and Sheman also plan to expand the dining facilities of the well-known Log Cabin Inn. He said he and Sheman have not worked out the details of their planned expansion but did say they had big things planned for the area.
