Thursday. March' 7. 1968 Indian Shores To Open Golf Course Saturday, April 6 Saturday, April 6 has been set for the formal opening of the Indian Shores golf course, an IS-hole recreational facility in the heart of the Lake Hous- lon community. Craig C. Cook, general manager, reported the course will be ooen on weekends only for the first several weeks.

During this period" play will be restricted to property -owners and their guests. He said about the end of May, the: course will be available on a seven-day-a-weefc basis. Sonny Nash, golf pro for the Indian Shores golf course will be available for lesson and instructions. A putting green that is surfaced" with Astro-turf is already in place adjacent to the course along with a driving range. Cook said the new course is wooded and a number of natural streams and ponds will challenge the golfers.

The course also includes two man-made lakes as well as strategic hazards to lend interest to the various holes. Home sites line the scenic fairways of the course and are available for purchase by the general public. A major advantage of the fairway lot is the beautiful view. familv will never be hemmed in by the construction of an adjoining home Cook said. Buyers of the fairway home- sites will have access to all the other recreational facilities offered in Indian Shores, and the lots have the same improvements.

Improvements include concrete streets and all city utilities he said. In addition to the community swimming pool, which nas been maintained in readiness through the winter months, the development has a corral and stables and several miles of bridle paths. D. B. BAUJEY Bailey Retires From Enjay Co.
