draw up plans for the building and was asked to have them completed in time to share in the 1948 allotment of $500000 of federal funds made available under the Hill-Burton bill Cobb said the contract years The daughter of George Washington and Caroline Flow she was born In Monroe on September 23 1872 Her husband in the Methodist ministry for 39 years held charges in several North Carolina cities and was associate editor of the North Carolina Christian Advocate Following his death In 1943 Mrs Sikes made her home with two of her sons Claud at Carolina Beach and John of Wrightsville Beach Mrs
