A knowing Santa would snap these up as sign autographs The Bicentennial Committee of Anne Arundel County is still with us, with the publication of a pair of books which the group set into motion last year. The set of history books, one a reprint of an 1887 publication, and the other a newly-written volume, will be featured tomorrow in an autograph session at Scott's Book Store on Main Street beginning at 4 p.m. Several of the authors of the new book will be on hand to meet the public and discuss the books.

The new book is entitled "Anne Arundel County, Maryland A Bicentennial History." Its 25 chapters were written by local persons on a wide variety of subjects pertinent to the local history such as Naval History, tobacco farming and the seafood industry, government, preservation and even social life. In a preface by Dr. James C. Bradford, editor, he describes the book as an attempt im a lujig-Manaing voia in information about the area. While the writing is uneven, being done by many who are not primarily writers, and the work is far from excellent, technically, still it is interesting and certainly unique.

The pair must be bought as a set, not separately. The companion volume is a reprint of "The Ancient City" by Elihu Riley, and presents an interesting contrast when read with the new accounts. The Anne Amnripl Cnnntu iito-unaE received 10 copies and they will be available at the Annapolis, Crofton, North County, Odenton and South County libraries.
