Schevender, organist, and Mrs. Margaret Schwender. For her wedding, the bride selected a gown of ivory peau de sole with re-embroidered Alencon lace'as trim. Her veil was of silk illusion and she carried lily of the valley and white roses. She was given in marriage by her father.

Mrs. Meredith Wilson, sister of the bride, was matron of honor with Mrs. Jerry Mitchner, cousin of the bride, Miss Sherry Savoy of Orange and Miss Paula Berth- ilot of Victoria, as bridesmaids. The attendants were dressed in turquoise peau de sole and each carried a single red rose. Flower girls were Jerri Ann Mitchner and Molly Mitchner with Drew Wilson as ringbearer.

Ten of the children of the retired farmer have graduated from college, two are attending college, and Sammy, the13th Mayo graduated from Ross Hill High Thursday night. He is enrolled at North Carolina State College for the fall term. All of the Mayos are good students.
