and Thomas staged a 70 yard trip to touchdown for the longest run of the game James also featured in the backfield BATTLE TO TIE Whiteville Nov 3---Whiteville end Raeford high schools battled to a all sustained a broken arm The visitors proved a strong team ELIZABETH CITY TAKES HERTFORD HIGHS 38-0 Victory Gives Last Year's Eastern Champs Class District Title Elizabeth City Nov 3---The Elizabeth City Yellow Jackets romped their way to their fourth successive victory by winning over Hertford 33 to 0 today The Jackets outplayed the visitors in every way and allowed them to make only two first downs while the locals made 19 Nixon captain of the Elizabeth City eleven was outstanding among the offensive stars by making the longest run of the game as well as making 18 of his team's points This game clinches first place in the Northeastern district of the North Carolina Class State Con ference for Elizabeth City 1932 eastern champions of Class ranks GARNER HIGHS SCORE SEVENTH WIN IN ROW Garner High school football team made it seven wins in as many games this season by defeating Smithfield 27 to 6 yesterday afternoon at Smithfield The game closed group play in the district conference for Garner's champions of Group Two The first half produced the best competition and at the turn Coach Cap Clark's proteges were in front 13-0 Garner's first touchdown came when Bagwell broke away for today's game takes on the elassifictaion of toss-up with more real reason than any meeting of the teams in a long long time of course there are many who can lee only one team or the other in today's
