Registration was from 5:30 to T.p.m. Dinner was serverd at 8. Class members and guests were welcome by Pamelia Urbano.

Robert Skinner led the prayer. After dinner, J.T. Davis introduced classmates who introduced their spouse or guest and gave a brief history of their life. A memorial honoring deceased members of the class was given by Estelle Moore Aldridge. Attending from out-of-town Ned Abies of Richardson, D.C.

(AP) Photojournalist D. Michael Cheers has donated his "Songs of My People" collection, more th'an 150 photographs depicting black Americans, to sity of Missouri's Museum of Art and Archaeology.

Cheers co-directed the notable project in which 50 black photojournalists traveled the country, from Wall Street to cotton fields, taking black and white photos of black Americans. The project resulted in a'book, an HBO special, and which has completed a three-year world tour. Parker-Strasser Kama Strasser of Paris and David Parker of Clarksville I were married in a double-ring ceremony Saturday, July 22, 1995 at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Lennox, S.D. with the Rev. Dennis Hide officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Rhoda Strasser and the late Kerwin Strasser of Lennox, S. D. The groom is the son of Pat and Dale Parker of Clarksville, Texas. The bride chose a gown of white satin featuring a sabri- na neckline trimmed with medallions of sequins and pearls.

The long sleeves and cathedral train were also trimmed with medallions of pearls and sequins. The full skirt featured a bow at the back waist. Wedding music was provided by Lois Wells at the piano, Larry Bunjer at the organ and duets by Paige and Russell Conley. The bride was escorted to the altar and given in marriage by her mother. Attending the bride as matron of honor was Deb Strasser of Sioux Falls, S.

aunt of die bride. Bridesmaids were Miranda Parker and Laurie Kruse. Stewart Parker of Wichita, Ks. was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Brent Strasser and Bryce Strasser.

Following a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple will live in Paris. The bride is a graduate of Kirkwood Community College and is employed by Texas Star Therapy as certified occupational therapist assistant. at the home of Katy and Bill Allred to celebrate the 89th birthday of Alma Wright Skidmore. A backyard picnic, including decorated birthday cake and homemade ice cream, picture taking, and fellowship were enjoyed. Children and attending from Paris included Fred Skidmore, Katy and Bill Allred, Clayton and Madge Skidmore, Mary Lou and Bill Coe, Travis and Margaret Skidmore, and Sandy and Jimmy Lassiter. Children unable to attend were Georgia Getz of Victoria, Dwight Skidmore and Elaine Ballard, both of Paris. Grandchildren attending from Paris were Carolyn Jamar, Joe and Debbie Allred, Shelley and Jen-ell Briggle and Brad Coe and Billy Coe of Dallas.

Great-grandchildren attending were Lindsey Jamar, Laura Lynch, Jarrold and Jorry Briggle and Cassie Woods. Other guests included John Brazile of Paris and Ryan Carlino of Chicago, 111. The Paris News 3B Franklin-Lyons Kelicia Lynn Lyons of Paris and Dennis Wayne Franklin of Paris were married in a double-ring ceremony Saturday, August 12, 1995 at the Greater Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Paris with the Rev. Paul D. Franklin officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse C. Lyons of Paris. She is the granddaughter of the late Marvin and Verdie B.

Miles of Paris and the late Jesse and Willie Mae Lyons. Johnnie Bills, presented traditional wedding music. Soloist sang "We're Still Holding On" by Amanda Lewis, "Nobody Loves Me Like You Do" by Maria Wilkins and Johnnie Bills, "Giving You The Best That I Got" by Pricilla Lawrence, "Inseparable" and "The Lord's Prayer" by Donna Brown. Escorted to the altar by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a satin sheath gown. The alencon lace bodice was adorned with pearls and sequins.

Beaded appliques extended from bodice to the hemline trimmed with alencon lace. Tiny Silk roses accented the off-the-shoulder pour illusion sleeves. Her cathedral-length tulle train was caught up with large silk roses and detailed and beaded appliques at the hemline. The floor length single tier sparkle illusion headpiece was created with tiny silk rosettes, pearls and sequins to form a crown. The bride's gown and headpiece was created and designed by Zenetta Fulbright of Paris.

Attending the bride as her maid of honor was her cousin Vickie Lyons of Dallas. Bridesmaids were Katie Watts of Houston, Maranda Franklin of Duncanville, Regina Williams, Sherry Glover, Forestine Jones, Xavier Dudley and Tracy Lyons, all of Paris. Junior bridesmaid was Shauntel Smith of Terrell. Flower girls were Darmeisha Lyons, Quaneisha Lyons, and serving as mini-bride was DaQuisha Lyons. Ronald Twitty of Paris served as best man.

Groomsmen were Alvis Young of Dallas, Jerry Mathis, Marcus Blake, Steve Wooten, Casey Reed, Gregory Lyons and Ervin Lyons, all of Paris. Junior groomsman was Davlin Edwards, and Darius Lyons, served as ringbearer. Ushers included Jeffery Lyons, Patrick Lyons, Thomas Dudley and Michael Johnson, all of Paris. Rehearsal dinner hosted by Ms. Pauline Franklin followed the wedding rehearsal at the Greater Mount Carmel Baptist Church.

The reception was hosted by Ms. Pauline Franklin and Mrs. Zenetta Fulbright at ihe Red River Valley Fairground. Rickey Hayes officiating.

The bride is the daughter of David and Mary Harris of Clardy. She is the granddaughter of Alvin and Viola Harris of Clardy and Virginia Waggoner and the late Otis Waggoner of Reno. The groom is the son of Ms. Darlene Oats of Charleston and Mickey Oats of Cooper. He is the grandson of Opal Watkins and the late T.

J. Watkins and Syble Oats and the late Burney Allen Oats of Cooper. The bride was escorted to the altar by her father and given in marriage by her parents. She wore a floor length gown of bridal satin designed and created by her mother. It was fashioned in a fitted bodice with a Queen Ann neckline, cutout back and short puff sleeves.

The sleeves and bodice were adorned with lace appliques beaded with pearls and sequins. The full skirt enhanced with lace cut out panels and lace scalloped hem extended to a cathedral train. The fingertip veil was attached to a tiara of pearls. The wedding music was provided by Neva Oats and soloist Ron Howard. Attending the bride as her Matron of Honor was her sister Carolyn Parson of Direct.

Bridesmaids were Robin Duley of Paris, Crystal Womack of Blossom and Melissa Spears of Clardy. Flower girls were Brittany Harris of Clardy, sister of the bride and Katelyn Parson of Direct niece of the bride. Chad Oats of Commerce served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Ronald Hayes of Paris, Roy Lee Jackson of Charleston and Montie Parson of Direct, brother-in-law of the bride. Ushers were Michael Overstreet and Harry Crawford.

Ringbearers were Montana Parson of Direct, nephew of the bride and Russell Hayes of Paris. Candlehghter was Steven Harris, brother of the bride. Serving at the register was Michelle Gaither, cousin of the bride. The bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages were created by Carolyn Parson, sister of the bride. Members of the housepany were Jennifer Harris of Clardy, Lezlie Fendley, Sheila Ensey and Vickie Davis of Paris and Shelly Oats of Commerce and Delores Jackson of Charleston.

Following a wedding trip to San Antonio, the couple will live in Paris. A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom's mother, was held at Rocking Barbecue Friday evening. The bride is a 1990 graduate of Prairiland High School, a 1993 graduate of Paris Junior College and a 1995 graduate of East Texas State University with a bachelor's of business administration. She is employed by Cherry Street Manor as an office manager. The groom is a 1989 graduate of Cooper High School.

He attended Paris Junior College with an agriculture scholarship. He is employed by Bolton Chevron and Bomart, Inc. in Paris..
