t wwwstar-telegraincom Thursday August 19 1999 3B DEHT00 COMITY FORT WORTH at 0 1 : Tentative A lawsuit is pending against operators of a boat on Lewisville Lake ' BY DOMINGO RAMIREZ IR Star-Telegram Staff Writer - Lawyers for a woman maimed in a 1995 boating accident on LeWisville Lake have reached a tentative $400000 settlement with two companies that operate the marina near the accident site ' A second lawsuit is pending against John Doe No 1 and John Doe No 2 the unknown operators of the high-performance boat that ran over a light boat in which Stephanie Booker and two friends were riding June 18 1995 Booker 35 of Carrollton suffered severe facial lacerations from the propeller of the speedboat Her two friends Sabra Scott and Kim Colvin were not seri - TCU appointing CBS' BY VERONICA PUENTE Star-Telegram Staff Writer : FORT WORTH — Texas Christian University is reorganizing its academic structure and appointing TV anchor and alumnus Bob Schieffer to head the Commission on the Future of TCU the chancellor announced yesterday "Too often universities spend their time building buildings and raising more money to do only that" Schleifer said in a prepared statement "This is a commission that will look beyond that and ask what is it TCU ought to be and what do we want it to be?"
