December 4, 1985 The Sun C-9 BURGESS, YUCAIPA Delbert Burgess, 59, a resident of Yucaipa died November 30, 1985. Mr. Burgess was active in San Bernardino County Democratic politics serving on County Central and State Committee. He was Senior Caucus Calif. Democratic Party.

He served on board Social Sciences Services, was a member of Independent Telephone Pioneers, Ted Fisher Club, Yucaipa American Legion and Yucapia Masonic Lodge. He was a 26 year employee of GTE, past president of CWA Local 11573 and current member of CWA Local 11588. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; mother-in-law, Lorena (Billy) Knowles of Russell (Wendy) Burgess Sunnymead' and William Burgess of Yucaipa; daughters, Carol (Terry) Barnard of Angeles Oaks and Linda Forry of Renton, grandchildren, Michael Todeyk, Sandra (Roger) Malone, Danny Johnson, Steven Kristi, Matthew and Brad Burgess, Jimmy and Bonnie Jo Forry; great William grandchild, Jessica Malone; brother, (Shirley) Burgess of Westminster; sister, Ada Hubert of North Hollywood. Services Friday, December 6 at 1 p.m. at the Emmerson Bartlett Yucaipa Chapel.

LEONHARDT, SAN BERNARDINO Irene Leatha Leonhardt, 91, a lifetime resident of San Bernardino, died December 3, 1985 in San Bernardino. She was born April 21, 1894 in San Bernardino.

She was co- owner of Baseline Sporting Goods for 15 years, a member of the Pioneer Society of San Bernardino, and was a Protestant. Survived by her husband of 71 years, Charles F. Leonhardt of San Bernardino; two sons, Charles F. Leonhardt, Jr. of Palmdale and Leland L.

Leonhardt of San Bernardino; two daughters, Barbara Myrle Boggs and Faye Eileen Lawson, both of San Bernardino; two sisters, Pearl Sanders San Bernardino and Mamie Cruzen of Orange; eight grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren. Friends may call between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. Thursday at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will be held 11 am.

Friday at Montecito Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospital, 1311 E. CLYDE ROLAND BRELAND, OXNARD Clyde Roland Breland, 53, formerly a San Bernardino resident for 9 years, died November 28, 1985 in Oxnard, California.

He was born April 25, 1932 in Wiggins, Mississippi. He was a heavy equipment inspector for the Naval Battalion Center at Port Hueneme, Calif. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, a 33 degree Mason of Joshua Lodge No. 67 and a member of the Shriners.

He is survived by his wife, Marthelma; two sons, Craig and Algenon; one daughter, Kimberly; a daughter-in-law, Leslie; grandchildren, Kenny and Tambra; brothers, Harold Breland of Freeport, Long Island and Winfred Breland of San Bernardino; three sisters, Olivia Gooden of San Bernardino, Beulah Benn of Long Beach and Jessie Johnson of Wiggins, Mississippi; two uncles, Clarence Abram Breland of Northern a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives friends.
