Officer Phillip L. E. Robinson died late last night from the effects of a bullet wound inflicted on 'him by Chow Lam, a Chinepe laundrvman, on the night of August 31. The Panhandle train set fire to the beading factory. A strong routh wind swept the flimes through the high stacks of dry heading in the factory.

The location of the fire was a mile from the city and could not bs reached by the water mains. The fire department responded and kept the fire from spreading. John Williams was overcome with the heat and was carried away in a dying condition. Frank Speticee, the engineer, narrowly escaped with his life.
