Mrs. Pat Uzelac, 29 years old, of route 2, McLouth, charged in her petition that she purchased a package of the plastic material March 12 from a Katz Drug company store at Tenth street and Minnesota avenue in Kansas City, Kansas. Despite this, she stated, contact with the material caused a severe rash to break out over her entire body; that she was forced to be admitted to Providence hospital where she was fed intravenously, and was given numerous medications in an effort to curb the infection. Named defendants in the suit are the Katz Drug company; Hassenfeld of Central Falls. R. the manufacturer; and Walt Disney Productions, charged in the petition as sponsor, advertiser and distributor of the toy designated as flubber. The pliable plastic has been under investigation for several weeks by the federal Food and Drug administration, (FDA).
