Kerrlsdale, last night, with the usual list of deputations and Individuals present with their, numeroua requests for etreets, lanes, ana other Improvements. Messrs. Grey, Harvey and Aber nethy of Marpole, who own a large number of lots at Marpole, upon which the sanitary inspector had passed as "unsanitary," were present to be advised by the council that they must be put Into a sanitary condition. The proposal was that a government dredge be secured to pump sufficient sand upon the property to do away with the present conditions. The owners were willing to pay their Bhare, providing the municipality took care of the streets and lanes In that locality.

Considerable activity In tennis circles was evident as the newly organized Point Grey Tennis Club wrus present again seeking the exclusive use of the Wilson Koad courts. A request was also in from the Preshyto rtan Tennis Club, as well as the Iona Club, the Iona Club being unwilling willing to lln up with the newly formed club. Mr. Munton, chief spokesman of the Point Grey aggregation, asserted his willingness to Interview these other clubs, with a view to affecting a fusing of all tennis clubs, with the exception of the West Point Grey Tennis Club who. owing to their location, require different consideration.

The whole matter, however, was left for final settlement to the clubs and the parks committee. OvPrcrowdin of Car. Upon motion of Councillor Mac Lennan it was decided to ask the provincial government to Include municipal golf links in their sub division plans of the property West Point Grey. The last meeting of the very energetic or ganization campaign which has been carried on during the past month In tho Fraser Valley by Field Organizer Humphrey, of the United Farmers of British Columbia, will be held at the municipal hall, Brlghouse, tomorrow, following the meeting: of the Fraser Valley Milk Producers' Association. The campaign In the valley has resulted in the formation of twenty one strong locals, and the enrollment of a large number of the very best of the farmers under the banner of the new and aggressive organization. There will be a large number of the prominent farmers of Richmond at the dairy meeting, and the combination of the two meetings.

It is expected, will result in a large attendance. A meeting was held In Brlghouse tome time ago. It was addressed by Mr. Humphrey, and keen interest in the subject of an Independent farmers' organization was manifested, and there Is little doubt In the mlnda of I those back of the movement that a I live local will be formed on Thursday night, and that this will result later on in the organization of other branches. South Vancouver SCHOOL STATISTICS SOUTH VANCOUVER, May 5. A statement of the school attendance for April, Just Issued by the board, shows that 5874 names were enrolled and the percentage of attendance was 90.89. Of thse 337 are high school pupils. The attendance In April 1918 was 4812 and for the same month of last year 6462. The total number of divisions presided over by a teacher, exclusive of manual training and domestic science, is 180.

The medical Inspector made 42 school visits and the school nurse visited 13 homes In addition to her othtr duties. DISTRICT IS HEALTHY For a municipality of over 30,000, the April health report is remarkable. The only Infectious diseases remaining at the end of the month were: chicken pox, measles, 11; Kcarlet fever, tuberculosis, 14. Total, 29. There were four post mortems; two inquests; three insane cases examined and 18 calls on indigent patients; 123 inspections for sanitation; 2 abatement notices served; six families given relief amount.
