Scott Buck returned Wednesday morning from Winfield, where she attended the funeral of a nephew. Mr. and Mrs Frank Buck and son Harris did not return until Thursday evening, and Mrs. Nell Lewis and Mrs. Will Carbray and daughter Katherine came with them to visit a few days both Buck families.

They left Monday morning for Alva, where they will visit relatives. M. F. Stewart and son were in town Friday afternoon. Paul departed Saturday morning for Wichita, where he will go to school, this summer.

Fred Carr of Deerhead was in our city Friday. Cole Goff was down from the Sawyer neighborhood Thursday. L. E. Thomberry of Aetna was a city visitor Friday.

Mrs. W. B. Rhoades shopped in the county seat Friday morning. Mrs.

Riley Lake and daughter Inez returned from Lawrence Thursday night. Geo. Bodenhames have moved into the Fred Branson property. Fred Branson and family have moved to Freeport, where they will make their home. Earl and Fred Hendrickson drove to Medicine Lodge Saturday afternoon.

Mrs. John Matthews returned Monday from a ten days visit with friends and relatives in Alva, Okla. 'Miss Pattie Cooke spent Saturday night and Sunday with her sister, Mrs. Ed. Larkin and family.

Miss Marie McNeill left Saturday morning for an indefinite stay at Coldwater, Kansas. Mrs. Riley Lake and Miss Inez spent Sunday at Mr. Austin's near Isabel. Mr.

They expect to be gone several days. The Willing Workers of the Christian church entertained their husbands on Tuesday night with a delicious, two course lunch. The affair was held in the basement of the church. Prairie Dog John Wells is once more sojourning in our midst for a few days, as he ran out of rattlesnake poison. John says he thinks in a few more years he'll be able to train the snakes to bit the prairie dogs, and as the coyotes will eat the dogs, it will ccon rid Barber county of pests that is, animal one.
