AGVA's award, "the "Georgie," is presented in honor of George M. Cohan, the American stage's legendary actor-dancer-author composer. The. "Georgie" ' is a miniature replica of Cohan. Carol Burnett, star of her own TV series, will receive the Female Comedy Award for the fourth year in a row. Redd Foxx, of "Sanford and Son," will receive the Male Comedy Award, an honor he has received before. Sonny and Cher, selected as the best Vocal Act of the Year, won the same award last year.
